Thai 13th - 15th Century Incised Stoneware Covered Box

This round box was made during the 13th - 15th century at the Sawankhalok kilns. Both cover and box have been decorated with an incised scrolling floral pattern, the design accentuated with the use of two different coloured glazes. The inner surface and base remain unglazed.
