Chinese late Qing dynasty Guangxu period porcelain lidded wine pot or ewer moulded in the form of the character "fu" (good fortune) and decorated in famille noire enamels on the biscuit. The body is densely covered in a pattern of green tendrils and chrysanthemums set against a black background. A central figural panel features an attendant fanning the God of Wealth (Caishen). Chinese Yuan to Ming dynasty Longquan celadon dish with everted barbed rim, the center nicely carved with a floral pattern surrounded by stylized incised floral patterns on the cavetto. The glaze is crackled overall. The underside is decorated with vertical ribbing. The characteristic unglazed burnt orange ring is within the glazed ringed foot. 10 3/8" diameter x 2" high. Circa 14th century. Very good overall condition...

Pair of large Chinese late Qing dynasty globular form jars with domed covers moulded in relief with cranes resting in a lotus pond among large flowering plants and leafy stems executed in susancai colors of green, yellow, and aubergine with black and white highlights. The domed covers are decorated with lotus flowers. The bases bear Wang Bing Rong seal marks in relief. 19th century. Measure about 9 1/2" high by about 8 1/2" diameter...

A black-glazed tea bowl was in a unique form.
Apparently caused by firing effects, the surface of the glaze was transformed to a mysterious image that was charming and different.
It was not sure if it was intentionally finished by an ingenious potter or just an accidental surprise.
But it was indeed a unique and sought-after piece for real connoisseur.

Chinese Northern Wei Dynasty Pottery Horse with Female Rider
This attractive model of a horse and rider was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is made from a grey pottery that has been cold painted in a creamy-white pigment on top of which have been applied other coloured pigments. Note the detail of the female rider's facial features and hairstyle.

A hermitage lost in the early blossoms of the plum forest, ink and light color inside a wide gold border and mulberry frame typical of the Taisho era. Gold powder has been liberally applied intimating a shimmering mist throughout, creating an ethereal quality. Signed in the upper left corner, it is 68 x 149 inches (172.5 x 378 cm) and in overall fine condition.
