Description: A rare and lovely Yaozhou russet-glazed incense burner was in simple form. Wide-mouthed and with high-set shoulders when the neck is narrowed and the lip is rolled, the jarlet was applied with persimmon glaze inside and out of the surface. The bottom was flat and was concaved to a round circle. The unglazed base had turned to a buff skin during firing, and in a firm quality which were all the characteristics for a Yaozhou ware. Description: A pair of scholar's stamps were made by a famous scholar Won Fu-An. The skill of stamp carving had long been recommended by Chinese literati. Won Fu-An was one of the best scholars who made good stamps in the early 20th century...

Description: A pair of jade plates were in transparent light green tint. By a shallow and flat foot ring, the plates were decently decorated on the surface with gilding motifs of leafy flowers, fruits, bamboos and pine trees. Carved in a light way, the vibrant plants were finely rendered before gold pigment was filled in to enlighten the whole picture against the celadon jade ground. A superb design of the picture can be noticed by the sophisticated composition...

Chinese Qing dynasty Daoguang period (1821-1850) geyao type porcelain censer of compressed bombe form with thick flat rim and two animal-mask handles at the sides. The pale gray glaze, covered overall with the characteristic black and brown crackles, completely covers the interior of the censer and the exterior of the ringed foot and extends part way down the interior foot of the recessed unglazed base. Measures 5” diameter from handle to handle and stands 2 ½” high...

This traditional Han child's silk hat is wonderfully embroidered with floral scenes around the brim, butterflies and birds around the sections of the crown, while tassels accentuate the upturned morterboard. The long draped wind protector section at the back shows fade line...otherwise the hat is in excellant condition.

Description:

A fine Guanyin piece was well carved.
By well maneuvered carving skill, the holy deity was clad with flouring robe and was featured with benign facial expression.
Nice patina was preserved while some whitish abrasions were observed.
A wooden cork was filled in at the bottom.

Date: Early Qing periods, 17th century.

Height: 10.5cm.

Condition: Very good, except some old cracks were found on the back(at the base).

Material: Ox horn...

Depicting a running figure, possibly a saint or deity. Diameter 10,5 cm. Condition: Fritting and minor chips to the rim. Provenance: Dutch private collection, collected in Indonesia ca. 40 years ago. Jiajing ( 1522-1566 ).

Description:
A pair of Jizhou tiger toys were excavated in original condition.
It is very hard to find genuine Jizhou wares with tortoisshell glaze.
It was unique too to find them in pairs even though they're dolls.
And most importantly they were in obvious condition for authentication.
The buried deposits were firmly left here and there on the surface.
And the glaze were partially crackled due to age.
The body clay were light brownish with soft matrix quality...

Description: A real scholar's item with Zen atmosphere of this piece was ingeniously made use of a root wood. With good old patina, this piece was in original condition without any restorations. It testified itself that it had been carefully treated and treasured by the past collectors despite its informal style among typical Chinese scholar's items. Description: One Temmoko tea bowl of Song dynasty was authenticated as a Jian kiln piece. Kept with beautiful glaze condition, the clay revealed at the foot rim yielded it's black purplish tint which justify it's origin. In typical everted shape, one crack line penetrated on the upper part of cavetto and some touch-ups were made to the glaze surface. Date: Song Dynasty(AD 12th Century) Width: 12.6cm Height: 4.8cm

Description: An old Yixing flower arrangement basin with inscription " Sui Qing Xe Qi" (the water is pure while the rock is unique) on one side and carved flower motif on the other side had a special Chinese scholar taste. Description: A Yinquing ewer or water dropper was kept with its original cap. Produced from Jindezheng of Jiangxi province, it was an exquisite Qingbai(bluish white) porcelain manufactured in one of the Hutien kilns. On the surface, when motifs of flowers were framed with 16 different sectors, subtle pinhead incursions were randomly spread in the bluish glaze. It happened to the surface of the cap too. Characteristic chalk-feel body clay was revealed at the bottom...

Description: A unique gilt bronze archer's ring was skillfully hammered in double decks. The main portion on the outer surface was casted with two types of Chinese archaic words Sou (Long Life)in open work and surrounding the ring when chased dots were decorated. On the upper and lower portions, two bands of key-fret patterns were carved neatly for framing the words...

Description: An exquisite bamboo carving depicted a smiling boy holding a basket which has fishes in it. In fantastic carving skill, the piece was added with more attraction by it's aged patina. It was preserved in perfect condition without any defects. From the characteristics of the carving, the piece was dated as of 19th century. Height: 10cm, Depth: 9.5cm, Width: 8.9cm

An old soapstone seal was in very good mood of scholar taste.

Two lions were vibrantly rendered on the top of the seal as a knob.

While well maneuvered inscriptions were on four side of the stamp.

For Chinese literati, the scholar taste was most treasured, by the meaning of the inscriptions and by the craftsmanship of the carving on the inscription.The seal obtained all these characteristics.

And the tint of this stone was in great mood too...

Description: The ovoid pot was suffused with striking purple bluish splashes on the surface. Standing on a circular solid foot with beveled edge, the jar has a bulge shoulder and a rolled rim to the mouth...
