On brown silk gauze finely embroidered high ranking nobleman's court robe. In polychrome and couched gold threads nine five clawed dragons, one dragon hidden on the underflap of the garment. The mythical beasts chasing for the flaming pearl among clouds, bats, peaches and the buddhist precious things. The bottom of the textile is decorated with waves and stylised rocks. The sleeves worked in pleated dark blue silk, ending in horsehoof cuffs, side-fastening overlapping closure with metal buttons...

A small dish, heavily potted, covered in a beautiful celadon glaze producing the crackles of the Geyao type glaze. The recessed base is glazed while the foot rim is dressed with an iron brown wash. Japanese Fukagawa Imari porcelain floral vase signed on bottom. A beautifully hand painted and colorful large example measuring approx. 12.5 inches by 9 1/4 inches wide in excellent condition no damage.

This slender expressive statue represents the right hand of the Buddhist female deity worshiped as Quanyin in China, White Lotus in the US, Tara in Tibet, and Kuan Eim in Thailand, etc. The hand retains much of the original paint remains and is mounted on its own display stand. The hand alone is 14 inches high and including the stand is approx 18 inches high.

A colorful back buzi with a bear for a man, denoting the fifth military rank. Silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details, the background covered by peacock feathers, which rarely survived to the present days. Blue silk lining. Red silk with blue borders, embroidered in colored silk and gold thread. The gilded buttons with scenes of figures in a boat. On the back of the buttons a text: ' rich treble gilt' and ' T.W. & W'. Dimensions: h. 89 cm, w. 157 cm (from sleeve to sleeve). Some stains and discoloring but generally in good condition. Ca. Late 19th/early 20th century.
