Chinese late Qing dynasty (19th century) front-opening Han style lady's jacket embroidered on the front and back in silk polychrome thread with clusters of flowering plants and butterflies on a dark cobalt blue silk satin ground. Much of the embroidery is executed with the “forbidden stitch.” The sleeve bands are similarly embroidered with flowers and Buddhist swastikas on a white silk ground. Fine Chinese Song Dynasty Qingbai Glazed Porcelain Bowl

This fine porcelain bowl was made during the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279). The inner surface is decorated with an incised scrolling stylised floral pattern. There are five "V"-shaped notches spread equidistant around the rim. Its best feature, however, is its translucent pale blue qingbai glaze of such good colour, the glaze also being attractively crackled...

A rarely encountered large format limited edition Japanese woodblock print titled Constellation No. 38" by Joichi Hoshi (1913-1979). Pencil-signed "Joichi Hoshi" and dated '67 in the lower margin. The artist’s square seal is visible in the image above the signature. Pencil-titled in kanji at the left side of the bottom margin and numbered 2/50. Marked with the edition number 2/80. Chinese Northern Wei Dynasty Pottery Horse with Female Rider

This attractive model of a horse and rider was made during the Northern Wei Dynasty (AD 386 - 534). It is made from a grey pottery that has been cold painted in a creamy-white pigment on top of which have been applied other coloured pigments. Note the detail of the female rider's facial features and hairstyle.

Rare Tall Chinese Six Dynasties Painted Pottery Warrior (AD 220 - 589)

Fine Chinese Song / Yuan Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Meiping

This qingbai glazed meiping was made during the 13th - 14th century, the latter part of the Song Dynasty (AD 960 - 1279) or the Yuan Dynasty (1279 - 1368). It is quite heavily-potted and coated in a finely-crackled pale blueish-green Qingbai glaze.

Fine Chinese Han Dynasty Pottery Amphora (20.5cm / 8")

A superbly conceived design; jars of this general type have been found in excavations dating as far back as the Spring and Autumn Period (770-475 BC). Although perhaps not obviously Chinese in design, this type of vessel is one of the most iconic forms of Han Dynasty pottery and is thought by some archaeologists to be anthropomorphic, with the shape and "swirling" design of the main body based on the female human form...

A set of sake decanters in the shape of Split Bamboo Tea Whisks by the third generation Kiyomizu Rokubei enclosed in the original signed wooden box. The artists stamp is clearly impressed into the nunome cloth-textured base. They are 14 cm (5-1/2 inches) tall and in excellent condition dating from the mid 19th century.
