A spectacular set of bira-bira-kanzashi hair pins in the form of cranes among blossoming plum and pine formed of silver which come enclosed in a custom made silk-lined wooden box. Two are 13 inches (33 cm) long, the other is 9 inches (23 cm) long and all are in fine condition. According to a label inside the box they are from Akita City in Northern Japan, sold by Takeyaso Hon-ten. The box is 15 x 17 x 5 inches (38 x 43 x 13 cm). An interesting mask with European features. Dayak, Borneo, early 20th century. H. 23 cm, W. 31 cm. H. including stand 38 cm. This mask and the rest of the collection Da Silva was auctioned at Christie's Amsterdam in 2001. Catalogue is included.

Rare example of Yuan dynasty b/w dish, slight thinly potted if compare with this similar medium size, decorated with large lotus panel medallion in the center, the rounded cavetto with continuous lotus scroll and the foliate rim encircled with classic scrolls pattern. Condition is broken and re-glued like indicate on the pictures and about 30% missing area, found at East Java Trowulan Indonesia. Diameter: 31 cm.

Attractive Kashmir tea service with handles made in the shape of a serpent. Consisting of a sugar bowl, cream jug and teapot with hinged lid. The metal base, here copper or bronze, was first engraved with special tools to create the design in relief, the grooves were later filled with glass and then embellished with additional engraving and shiny gilding. Hupa woven storage basket, Northwest Coast of California, c.1880. Size: 9.5 inches diameter x 5 inches ht. Tightly woven from alder on a hazelnut and willow warp with a dyed 'step design' in black. Good condition with tight weave and nice signs of use.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty Qianlong period hexagonal form Yixing pottery tea caddy or canister. The flat panels are decorated with four moulded vertical stylized "dan" (tranquility) characters flanked by two bats each, symbolizing happiness and joy. The curved shoulder is encircled with small, impressed flowers. The bottom corners extend onto short, flat feet along the edge of the base. The lid is metal. 8” high x about 6” diameter. 18th century. Very good overall condition...

A pair of Jianyang tea bowls were in nice oval shape.
In great condition, the bowls were yielded in the glaze with enduring-old crackles.
On the bottom, the foot rings were revealed with smoothen body clay which were caused from the age.
In favoured and sought-after hare-furs effects, the wares were characteristic Temmoko bowls from Jianyang kiln, hard to find in such lovely size and in such charming look...

Four Chinese Ming dynasty green and amber lead-glazed pottery funerary figures with separately moulded removable heads, each standing on a hexagonal waisted plinth. The figures are accented with “cold painted” (unfired) red, white, and black pigments on the unglazed surfaces. The taller personal attendants are dressed in layered robes with long sleeves. The male figure has a square official’s hat and holds a makeup box...

Of typical triangular shape. These netsuke were often carved by plectrum carvers. Made in Kyoto in the 18th century. H. 10 cm. Good age wear and patina, very good condition, even the feet are intact. Comes with a custom made brass stand.
