Copper green and dark iron decorate the pale glazed sides of this exquisite box dating from the early Edo period (17th century) wrapped in a silk lined sarasa bag and enclosed in a black lacquered wood box. It is 1-3/4 inches (4.5 cm) square, roughly 3 inches (7 cm) tall and in overall fine condition.
A very unusual incense burner in the form of two servants holding up Hotei as he looks joyously toward the night sky. It is performed in crackled white glaze over pale clay with simple iron decoration. It comes enclosed in the original signed wooden box bearing the Teishitsu Gigei-in seal titled Ga-korai Hotei Koro indicating it was based on Korean decoration techniques. It is 18.5 x 10 x 14 cm (7-1/2 x 4 x 6 inches) and is in fine condition...

A very good sized sculpture of Pedanda, a Brahman priest of the highest caste.
This is a traditional sculpture, not a piece for tourists. It's made of hard wood, very intricately carved and has a subtle polychrome.
H. 51 cm. Condition: expected age wear and a few age cracks. Please refer to the detailed pictures. A similar figure is in the collection of the 'Tropenmuseum' in Amsterdam.

A beautiful Mexican Silver Palomas y Rosas necklace signed by Ricardo Salas Poulat in stamp and engraving is one of the breathtaking designs from the Matl Taller. The repousse is beautifully carved on the tops giving greater detail to the large puffed links. The rose drop is 2 3/4's inches tall and the birds are 1 7/8th's in. at the tallest point. A 14k Edwardian onyx and seed pearls ring circa 1910-20. This size 2-1/4 beauty features an oval black onyx stone with an inserted gold-collared seed pearl. It is bezel set and it has two groups of three seed pearls at the top and bottom in the marquise shaped 7/8 x 1/4" setting. This ring weighs 2.8 grams, it is marked 14K with a circled JS maker's mark and it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, damage or repairs. This is an extraordinary Antonio Pineda Gladiator Cuff with black onyx stones. The spikes are half an inch tall and are well rounded not sharp.
