Beautifully crafted, with the iron surface appearing like stone, this large tetsubin measures 10 3/4" high, 7" wide to tip of spout, with the body measuring 5". The tetsubin is heavily cast, weighing 4 1/2 pounds. The lid is bronze, and is incised with the maker's signature, "Ryubundo", and the elegant handle is inlaid with bronze designs...

Elegant sterling silver and black obsidian necklace designed and signed circa 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). The necklace will comfortably fit up to a 16 1/2" neck. The necklace drapes beautifully and is in exquisite condition with no issues. Fully hallmarked. The clasp is tight and secure. Antonio designs have been included in numerous museum collections and exhibits.

A shallow dish, heavily potted, covered in a beautiful celadon glaze producing the crackles of the Geyao type glaze. The recessed base is glazed while the foot rim is dressed with an iron brown wash. Periode : Qianlong (1736-1795) Century Diameter : 30 cm. Condition : Perfect, no chips, cracks, hairlines or restorations.

In the mid-1800's, an unknown artist painted the face of a young Black boy in warm, soft colors, and unbeknown to the artist, forever immortalized the young boy's image! Since that time a variety of items were been produced in the image of the "Young Black boy with the Torn Hat" or "Johnny Griffin".

This circa 1920-30's Johnny Griffin item is constructed in solid brass and was designed for use as a pipe rack although it could hold spoons or even neckties...
