A Blanc De Chin piece was well mold and carved to depict a boy sitting on an ox with flute.
It was well preserved with only one minute defect on tip of the ox's right horn.

Ana Maria Brilanti was one of the first women of Taxco designers. She went by the name of Victoria. She was an accomplished designer and this dragonfly is certainly a testament to a masterpiece of repousse. The hand carving displays great depth and dimension as it is an insect like none other. The size is true to life at 3inches wide by 2.5 inches tall. I included a side "slice" photo for you to see it's thickness. The weight is 32 grams...
An impressive, Mingei carved wood kiseruzutsu (a pipe case or holder worn similarly as a sashi netsuke) with snake and frog decoration - quite appropriate for the 'year of the snake' and a tiny compass with inlaid into one corner. Depicted are a snake coiled around a weathered log apparently in ready ambush for a frog perched on the other end - both with pierced bone or stag antler inlaid eyes...
