A shallow dish, heavily potted, covered in a beautiful celadon glaze producing the crackles of the Geyao type glaze. The recessed base is glazed while the foot rim is dressed with an iron brown wash. Circular wooden box with fitted interior. The cover inlaid in mother-of-pearl with ducks swimming in a lotus pond and auspicious symbols. The exterior walls with flowers and Chinese characters. Condition: separating age cracks, few inlays lost, cover with an old rim loss, interior warped. Dimension: diameter 24.3 cm, 11.2 cm high.

The compressed globular body resting on low foot, surmounted by a tall cylindrical neck with everted rim, covered overall in a lightly bluish - green glaze, the unglazed footrim burnt orange in the firing. height 16.5 cm condition : crack line from the rim, and star line on the body. No chips and free from restorations.
