This Japanese Netsuke Brooch was made by Los Castillo before 1948 and bares the old linear hallmark as shown. The carving is very well done. This is a large brooch at 3 7/8th's in. x 3.75in. The weight is 49 grams heavy. No chips or dents and the green poured glass is not discolored. A treasure that is sought after and will not disappoint.

We are offering a William Spratling bracelet properly hallmarked on page 33 in Spratling Silver : A Field Guide by Phyllis M. Goddard. This is called a snap over due to the hidden clasp snaps over the closure bar. The design is shown with the center row being brass on page 56 of Phyllis Goddard's book. This is the silver "pillow" bracelet by William Spratling. It is from his first design period, 1931-1946. Measuring 8" around in the inside and 1 1/8" wide, it has a pin closure and is in fine original condition. It weighs 86 grams and is featured on page 43 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. This is one of Spratlings' most recognizable bracelets and one of the most beautiful.

One of the best Spratling treasures is this V cuff . It is big at 163 grams and 3in. tall on the front angle. It currently is 2.5in. at the inner diameter. Hallmarks shown are noted in the book Spratling Silver A Field Guide by Phyllis M. Goddard to be 1st phase. The warmed turquoise and it's 1.5in. height including the ornamental rings make an outstanding example of vintage Mexican silver. On the back you can see the hand hammered marks and it is marked 980 sterling and Taxco was cut off. It is silky soft to the hand and has a dark natural patina. It fits comfortably with a 16in. length. There are no dents or damage to this treasure and it is collector quality. Simply fabulous, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!
