Chinese sgraffito ground enameled porcelain plates, with a pink ground, late 19th century period, dark pink floral pattern on a textured pink ground, exterior with bamboo decoration and the base bears Jiaqing mark. Size: Diameter of plate is 7.75 inches, very good condition with no imperfections.

A chinese 19thc Ge type porcelain jar with lid , with underglaze blue landscape paintings on the front with bird and flower, section by dark iron glaze on the shoulder, lid and near the foot. Marked with"Cheng hua" but later period.Height = 24cm Width=21 cm. Condition very good with a small chip inside of the lid (see enlargement 9).

Blue and white kamcheng pot of the commonest found in the kitchen of traditional peranakan homes. It is used to keep salt or sugar. Bigger size of pot used to put boiled rice. PERIOD : Late nineteenth century MEASUREMENTS: 15 cm wide, 15.5 cm tall. CONDITION: small chip to the inner of lid, no cracks or hairlines and free from restotration.

A Dutch Silver Octagonal Tea Caddy; Dimensions 3" high x 3.5" wide x 2.5" deep. Embossed on all sides with village scenes and on the top with a battle scene. Weight 5 Troy ounces; excellent condition. Circa 1890-1900

An unusual divided double brass cricket cage with a glass front. The top of the case has the symbol etched in for prosperity. The glass divider in the case is missing but can easily be replaced. Age. Mid 19th century. Size: H. 7cm. W. 10.5cm. Condition: No repairs.

A circular red lacquer incense box imitating carved lacquer. The lid decorated with a rakan riding on a kylin. Black lacquer to the interior and with an old label: "Laque de Nara / donné par M. Morita". Condition: rims with tiny losses, lid inside with a crack and glue residue, base with some wear. Dimension: diameter: 7.8 cm, 2.4 cm high.

18th Century Dish, porcelain decorated in underglazed blue with flower and butterflies and key frest of ‘thunder patern’ border on the capetto. On the base, there is classic scroll with five spur mark. Width = 25.5 cm Condition : Perfect without damage or restoration.

A large dish with slightly out-turned rim decorated in underglaze blue with Lin Bu ( Lin Hejing) Rinnasei the famous Northern Song poet, scholar and recluse feeding a Crane, perhaps He Gao, set against a Pine Tree within a garden fence...

Of rectangular form with moulded and multicolored depiction of a noble falconer riding a horse. Condition: repaired breaks with little imperfections, three small glaze flakes. Dimension: 25.4 cm x 17.7 cm, weight: 1280 g.

A colorful back buzi with a bear for a man, denoting the fifth military rank. Silk tapestry (kossu, k'o-suu) with metallic threads and painted details, the background covered by peacock feathers, which rarely survived to the present days. Blue silk lining. Reference: Ladder to the Clouds, Jackson & Hugus Berkeley 1999, page 197 - No. 13.018 very similar badge. Condition: fine, minimal traces of wear. Dimensions: 29 cm high x 31.6 cm wide.

On brown silk gauze finely embroidered high ranking nobleman's court robe. In polychrome and couched gold threads nine five clawed dragons, one dragon hidden on the underflap of the garment. The mythical beasts chasing for the flaming pearl among clouds, bats, peaches and the buddhist precious things. The bottom of the textile is decorated with waves and stylised rocks. The sleeves worked in pleated dark blue silk, ending in horsehoof cuffs, side-fastening overlapping closure with metal buttons...

A French Manche a Gigot bone holder used to secure a leg of lamb or mutton while carving. The handle bears the French guarantee mark of the first silver standard (.950) and the holder, with its crown shaped terminal and trefoil screw, is of silverplated steel. Circa 1860-80. Excellent condition. Length: 8 3/8 inches.

 

The inro decorated with a dragon and Characters. The Ojime made of colored ivory. The boxwood netsuke depicting Daikoku, protector of the merchants. Japan, 19th century. The inro 12x4x1,5 cm, age wear and chips to the lacquer. The netsuke 4x3,5x3,5 cm. with good wear and patina. From a Dutch private collection.

A large Japanese sashi netsuke carved from stag antler, depicting the mythical Chinese fisherman Ashinaga with his long legs. The face is carved very expressively and the natural himotoshi (cord hole) is running through his curled hair. Condition: nice patina. Dimension: 17.8 cm long.

 

Antique Japanese kesa, purple satin silk brocade. Kesa was originally made from scraps of material donated to the priests. People who gave to Buddhist institutions were often keen to give very expensive items, so some fabulous kesa were created from wonderful silk brocades. This also could mean that the wealthier temples end up collecting the better fabrics or able to send out for the expensive custom made kesa as this...

The front of this Tibetan snuff bottle has deep silver repousse with animals and plants. Top stopper has a long copper spoon. The front has a larger circular opening which is fitted with a matching silver repousse stopper decorated with a piece of turquoise. Both the top and front stoppers are tied to the main bottle with a leather thong to prevent loss. The rear has a design deeply etched into the silver surface.

The bottle is roughly 4 inches high, 3 inches across and 2 inches thick.
