A beautiful and rare blackwood vanity chest. This is an unique piece and very large and quite heavy. It has all the original brass fittings and many drawers. Japanese Antique Hina Doll with a face of Gosho ningyo (Imperial Palace doll), late Edo period. Very few servant dolls have survived from this period. Not only the flimsy nature of thin silk and the light coloring of their clothes, but a few dolls in this quality were made at the time (late 1700s to mid 1800s). The doll is 9 inches tall; a large servant doll, very good condition.

A very good b/w bowls, decorated each with four phoenix medallions at the exterior supported by unique floral sprays or pomegranate, the interior center with a phoenix medallion within double circle. "Da Ming Cheng Hua Nien Zhe" mark to the base within double circle, but dating to be early Ching Kangxi period ware. Condition : re-touched two tiny flake glaze to the rim, further in perfect condition. Diameter: 16.5cm.

George III wine jug of classical urn form, decorated with bands of bright-cut foliate engraving. London, 1791, by John Robins. The jug is further adorned with an urn finial, bent wood handle, and with an engraved shield-shaped cartouche with family monogram. Size: 12 1/8" ht. x 6" length x 4 3/4" diameter. English George III sterling silver baluster form pint mug, London, 1780, probably by William Cox III. Size: 5 inches ht. x 5.25 inches x 3.75 inches. Weight - 12.3 troy ounces. This large-sized mug has an acanthus leaf-capped double scroll handle and is heavier than most comparable examples. Condition is good with no repairs, just a few minor bruises to the body. An unusual stone weight with a young boy riding a foo dog. The corners each have little foo dogs playing with their ball. The base has a key fret design.
