It was well glazed in moon-white tint when subtle green glaze was reflected within.
Some crackles were yielded in the glaze due to enduring time.
Some incursions were happened too.

Chinese Southern Song Dynasty Moulded Qingbai Porcelain Vase

This attractive pear-shaped vase was made during the Southern Song Dynasty (AD 1127 - 1279), most likely at one of the kilns in Fujian province. Interestingly it is made in several sections that have been luted together. The mid section is decorated with a scrolling lotus blossom pattern, below which is a repeating lotus leaf pattern. Description:

A Jizhou bowl was beautifully applied with whitish tortoiseshell glaze.
Sited on the characteristic shallow walled nearing flat foot ring, the bowl was slightly inverted on the mouth rim.
The body clay revealed at the bottom was in loosening-feel quality and was fired in light buff tint.
Molding scar was left at the foot ring too.
Due to long time of age, enduring old crackles were yielded in the glaze.
The agate-like glaze was in very fine condition...

At least two stories are forwarded to describe this ritual phurba -1 they are as protector of crops stored in granaries. 2- they are used during funerals , the bird is supposed to take away the souls of dead people during cremation or other burial ceremonies These type of phurba seems peculiar to Gurung priests or shamans.
