Obviously these two masks from the Nuo theater belong to the minorities of southern China. They constitute a set probably designed simultaneously by the same artist. One of the masks represents the monk Heshang and the second represents the jester Quintong. These masks date from at least the middle of the 20th century, that is to say about a hundred years. Description: A camphor wood arm chair was originally made in Taiwan in the late 19th century. With beautiful design, this chair was used to be put on the main side of a living room in pairs which were called Tai-Shi-Yi, the lord's chair. In heavy weight, it was tenoned firmly and preserved very well with original warm patina. There're only some decay at the front rim side. Height: 97.5cm width: 54.5cm x 47cm

Sparkling 2" x 2 1/4" butterfly with aqua, amethyst, ruby, and pierdot colored rhinestones on a goldtone frame.

Porcelain covered green celadon glaze to foot rim and decorated with dragon on the center. Glazed base with reddish foot. MEASUREMENT : Diameter = 38 cm PERIOD : 12 th-14 th Century Longquan Kilns, Zhejiang CONDITION : restored to the broken parts.

Today I am listing the Antonio Pineda chain and toggle bracelet. The length is 8.75in. and a depth of 7/8th in. The depth takes up some of the wearable length and it is a comfortable 7in. Properly hallmarked and very difficult to get all the marks in the pictures. The crown is visible and please request more photos if needed. I believe the stones at the ends of the toggle are Chrysoprase. The bracelet is solid and has a weight of 121 grams of heft.

This is a set of four cased green-to-clear Bohemian lead crystal wine goblets, each comprising a bowl enameled with a Rococo-floral motif in two-colored gold, having an air-twist stem and resting on a conical base. Harrach distinctive gold enamel decoration employed on base and rim, c1900, signed H on underside of base, in excellent condition, H7 1/2 in approx.

Chinese Eastern Wei - Northern Qi Dynasty Painted Pottery Horse & Rider with Oxford TL Test

This attractive pottery model of a cloaked and hooded rider was made in the 6th Century during either the Eastern Wei Dynasty (AD 534 - 550) or the following Northern Qi Dynasty (AD 550 - 577). Pottery horses from this period have a distinct style different to the more common and later Tang Dynasty equivalents...

A rare black glaze jar with original lid, decorated with five panels of triple line ribs around the body. Song dynasty Henan ware. Condition is perfect, with no any chips and no cracks, free from any restoration. only a bit firing flaw to base. High: 13 cm.

A very elegant pair of Antique Andon lamps dating from the Meiji period in the original storage box from a Kyoto estate. The box is dated Meiji 36 (1904) and stylistically these fit perfectly into that era, with a fine transparent red lacquer finish. They are in excellent condition, each standing 31 inches (79 cm) tall, 8-1/2 inches (22 cm) square. Due to size these will require special shipping consideration, the cost to be accrued separately.

Here is a fine squat jar form vase, the deep red clay covered in fish-eyed tenmoku glaze by Living National Treasure (Ningen Kokuho) Shimizu Uichi (1926-2004), enclosed in the original signed wooden box. Iron red shows through with startling effect like meteorites in a dark night sky of blue and brown. It measures 6-1/2 inches (16.5 cm) tall, the same diameter. Shimizu is known for the soft persimmon red temmoku (iron oxide) glaze, as well as crackled white and celadon glazes...

Description:

A Jianyang tea bowl was applied with rarely-seen white slip.
Nicknamed as "Butter Bowl" by local collecters by it's yellowish white tint, the bowl was revealed with black-tinted body clay at the bottom.
It was preserved very well when all the necessary characteristics were owned for authentication.
Not easily seen in the documentation, but some are in the Museum of Fujian Province...

Fabulous signed Christian Lacroix clipback earrings in matte goldtone with clear and orange marbled Lucite elements, and large matte goldtone elements, both in the form of coral spezzati or branches. Marked CL in script, CHRISTIAN LACROIX, and MADE IN FRANCE. I believe these are 1980s. Photos do not capture the color; it is very clear and warmer than the photos show. Perfect for resort and beach wear.

Mounted on a black hardwood stand. There are many Han heads on the market, but the ones with bronze earrings are very rare. The head is 11 cm high, including the stand it measures 22,5 cm. Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD). Authenticity guaranteed.

A nice blue and white Kraak type dish with thinly potted, decorated with Goose in the center. Late Ming dynasty 17th century. Condition is near perfect, only minor fretting to rim, no crack and free from restoration. Diameter: 21.9cm.

I have seen this brooch years ago with Fred Davis's signature and was a little surprised at the almost cartoon-like design at the time so the memory stayed with me since. And when I recently came upon the demi of brooch and earrings (you can see both pieces in the next to last photo), I held my breath - only to find Eagle 22 yet no FD initials on the back of the pieces. Unfortunately, Davis is famous for not being as meticulous as Spratling in having all his jewelry marked with his signature.....

A nice and very impressively molded of lotus flower to interior Qingbai type. Yuan dynasty 13th/14th century found in South Sulawesi. Condition is very good except almost invisible very short hairline and warped. Diameter: 13.6cm.

Six lobed jar with four loops handle and a brown spot. Height = 7.5 cm Width = 9 cm. Song Dynasty 12th Century. Condition : Excellent, no chips, hairlines, cracks or restorations.
