A troop of Shishi lion dogs sewn with couched gold thread. frolic among the blossoms and crashing falls embroidered on the re-purposed rich blue patterned Edo period silk of this altar cloth. The original form was likely an uchikake kimono, assembled as an altar drape as a tribute to the owner at a Buddhist Temple. Embroidered up high is the Mitsuba-aoi crest of the Tokugawa Shogun, indicating this was from an aristocratic family as the quality of the embroidery presmes...

Marcel Boucher trained and worked at Cartier in the Paris, France shop. He left for Taxco to be among some of the most creative thinkers in artistry at the time. He opened a shop in Taxco named Parisina and this necklace is one of his creations hallmarked in that manner. He was not in Taxco long so finding pieces of his marked Parisina are treasures. This piece is THE BEST necklace that I have seen from his work. It is a HUGE 1.5 inches wide and weighs 101 grams heavy...

This bracelet has everything! Baroque pearls, seed pearls, mirrorbacks, and gilt bows and flowers. It is hinged and fabric lined. It has the Haskell look but it is unsigned. As can be seen in the pictures, there is some corrosion frequently found in older pieces. It is priced accordingly. In my judgement it is highly collectible and wearable, and it is so spectacular that we have broken our rule to offer only pieces that are in perfect condition. Its flaws can be overlooked...

Fantastic sense of movement, great patina and two gorgeous pearls make this set of Antonio earrings immediately attract the eye! I love the pinwheel design - there is something festive and also "frenetic" about it that is, however, elegantly moderated with the classy touch of the pearls. The earrings are just above 1 1/4" in diameter and the set weighs 10.2 grams. It is signed with Antonio's crown mark though partial due to lack of space and an equally partial Eagle assay mark...
