This is the silver "pillow" bracelet by William Spratling. It is from his first design period, 1931-1946. Measuring 8" around in the inside and 1 1/8" wide, it has a pin closure and is in fine original condition. It weighs 86 grams and is featured on page 43 of the book MEXICAN SILVER by Morrill and Berk. This is one of Spratlings' most recognizable bracelets and one of the most beautiful.

From a private collection, this is a stunning sterling necklace and two bracelets sold at the Rancho Alegre, the largest silver shop in Taxco during the 1960s-70s. The designer initials are TRM . I do not know who this silversmith is, however, they sold their work at the Rancho Alegre. This smashing set consists of a 17" necklace and two 8" bracelets. Davis combined silver and amethyst in many of his most celebrated pieces. This pin measures 1 3/4" diameter and is in fine original condition. There are no chips or cracks to the stones and none have been replaced. Hallmarked for Fred Davis as shown. An important early piece by this creative visionary.
