Crafted by mostly anonymous maestros in Mexico's capital in the opening decades of the 20th c., they pre-date their Taxco counterparts and seem to be on the rise among vintage Mexican silver lovers. This bracelet is a great example of the style - and I have recently seen a brooch in this design bearing Matilde Poulat's signature...

A mystery maker for me - though listed by Bille Hougart in his book on Mexican silver hallmarks (see p. 249) - it is Taller Taxco that signs this modernist pendant necklace, obviously based on a rather rare to find Salvador Teran design.
