Based on an ancient glyph, or at least inspired by one, this vintage Los Castillo Mexican silver and azur-malachite inlay necklace is out of the workshop's "mozaico Azteca" line of jewelry. Centuries old, the technique became almost obsolete during the Colonial period but was revived by Chato Castillo, one of Taxco's most talented, innovative and original maestros...

Fabulous design! Mid-century sterling and green onyx necklace by Antonio Pineda. A stand out in every way, this necklace measures 15" (curved so hard to be exact) and is 1 1/8" wide. Very solid, weighing 106 grams. Fine original condition. Signed as shown. Gorgeous on!

This sterling silver brooch and pendant was handmade c. 1960's by Mexico City artist Anna Morelli (1921-2008). The piece measures 3 1/4" X 2 1/2" and is in beautiful condition. Fully signed by the artist on the reverse. In 1960 Morelli was an early founding member of the Bazar del Sabado in Mexico City along with Ricardo Salas Poulat where she sold her earliest jewelry designs. Morelli achieved international fame when she was asked to design the jewelry for the Conan the Destroyer film...

Antonio Pineda properly hallmarked this beauty that is 1in. wide but it looks like more because his design moves outward in the center for a convex shape of interlocking chevrons. The weight is a hefty 132 grams. These pictures are NOT photo shopped but the piece was very difficult to photograph with lots of reflections coming off the convex shape. The diameter is 2.25in. which will fit most. No damage, has fluid movement and a joy to wear.

Orrefors Ariel vase designed by Ingeborg Lundin, rows of squares formed by silvery air traps on a black background, encased in a thick layer of crystal glass. The vase is marked ORREFORS/Ariel No 328 H/Ingeborg Lundin; and dates from 1960. The vase stands 4.5 inches (11.4 cm) Tall and is 5.5 inches (13.9 cm) in diameter. In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs.

A very stylish 1960-s period 14Kt white gold sapphire and diamond ring centered by a 9.2 X 6.7 millimeter 1.76Ct oval natural sapphire with excellent quality and great color. The center sapphire is flanked on either side by a brilliant cut diamond, which gives the ring an elegant tailored appearance. The approximate total weight of the two high quality diamonds is 0.45Ct.

A very difficult design to find, Margot de Taxco's no 5384 is sheer geometry and a celebration of dark, rich oxidation. It is understandable then that I feel fortunate to have come upon the extra-wide hinged bracelet from the parure. Raised sterling bands around the perimeter of the cut-out design lend three-dimensional appeal which is further accentuated by the black surfaces they define...

This handmade pair of Tibetan boots was typically used by the Tibetan Minority groups for centuries. Each regional Tibetan group used its own distinct colored thread design pattern. Monks and officials also could be recognized by the thread design of their boots. These were a "commoners" boot and judging by their size, they were used by a young teenager. I suspect that they were only worn once or twice and they are in wonderful condition. Heel to toe they measure 9" and stand 12" high.

Goebel Hummel Virgin Mary Praying Madonna 46/0 orange-peach robed figurine from the 1960s. This pastel coloured 10-3/8" tall figure has a gloss and matte finish and pastel yellow, orange, blue and brown colours. It is incised M.J. Hummel on the base plinth and it has the blue "stylized bee" mark in use from 1960-72...

Eagle 22, one of the assay marks used by Fred Davis, is stamped on the bracelet at hand and its design combined with the fact that Davis was not at all meticulous at signing his pieces makes me believe that we might as well be dealing here with one of this creations. The carved amethyst "masks" are rendered in the most minimalist manner, a classic Abraham Paz / Fred Davis characteristic...

Large Murano Elephant performing on a Ball, attributed to Nason. Executed in clear glass. The elephant has a wonderfully expressive face as he stands on his hind legs with his trunk out-stretched. Tall, organic form sculpture by Luciano Gaspari for Salviati & Co.. The sculpture is formed of three joined irregular disks, with richly varied surface textures and folds. A large clear yellow disk is supported by two light smoke-gray disks (one disk has a slight bluish tinge that the other does not), the whole rising out of a dark smoke-gray block. A rare and beautiful sterling and onyx cuff by William Spratling. Magnificent worn with either the onyx centered scrolls in the front or the large diamond shape panel in the front. Measuring 5 3/4" around in the inside with a 1 1/2" opening, it is 1 3/4" wide in the diamond shape area and tapers to 3/4" at the scrolls. It weighs 72 grams and is not adjustable. Footed Toothpick holder in a checkered murrine pattern of a red and yellow centered flower on lattimo alternating with transparent rose-colored trefoils on a cobalt ground. Blown green glass vase with extreme pencil neck and bulbous base with a clear foot, all in the satinato finish characteristic of Carlo Moretti. This great 1960-s opal and diamond ring is set in 14Kt white gold. The very lively 13 X 10 millimeter cabochon opal sparkles with many colors and weighs an approximately 4Cts. The center stone is encircled by 36 brilliant cut diamonds set in two rows. The approximate total weight of all diamonds is 1.25Ct. The oval top of the ring measures 21 x 19 millimeters. The ring is a size 6 ¾ and can easily be sized.

It's almost the middle of August but this vintage Antonio Pineda brooch makes me think of leaves twirling in the wind filling the world with the fiery golds and reds of Fall. It is characteristic of the design genius inherent in some maestros that they can take a simple, familiar form and put such a twist to it (in our case literally), the form turns into a little work of art. This 14Kt yellow gold vintage baby heart pendant/charm has a polished finish. The heart is 3/8” high and ¼” wide.

Wonderful champagne ice bucket, or "seau" circa 1960's, from France. To advertise their product, champagne houses would give these buckets to restaurants as a point of sale item, they were not sold. This bucket is used & has some wear from age. Marked "Champagne de Castellane" & on the bottom "Depose, HB, Metry, Made in France." Nice graduated bottom; ring handles. Chrome over brass; measures 8" tall 7-3/4" across.

This is a vintage 14Kt yellow gold functioning pinball machine charm / pendant. The movable lever is spring loaded and ball is a small cultured pearl that can be shot into the machine with four indentations for the ball to lend in. The pinball machine is 5/8” long ¼” wide and 11/16” high without the jump ring on top.
