A remarkable sterling and 5 row saw tooth bezel set turquoise bracelet by Carmello "Pat" Patania who was the brother of Frank Patania Sr. It measures 6 3/4" around in the inside plus a 1" opening and is 1 1/4" wide. It weighs 98 grams and is in fine original condition with no chips or cracks to the stones. The stones are actually a deeper blue and green than the camera captures. Signed as shown. An exuberant sterling pin with a naturalistic design by Felipe Martinez who opened his workshop "Piedra Y Plata" in 1955. The highly polished, smooth amethyst flowers seem to be bursting out of the leaves which are going in all directions.This pin, c.1955, is featured on page 186 of the Morrill book MEXICAN SILVER, however, the pin in the book has green stones rather than amethyst. A blue & white large dish, decorated to the center with a deer in landscape, found only on this Swatow family, the sides decorated with floral spray, prunus branch and encircling with key fret border. Exterior with floral pattern, adhere to the foot rim with sand grit as known as typically of Zhangzhou ware products, Ming dynasty late 16th to early 17th century. Condition is a hairlines, a small chip on the rim, firing fault ( as seen on pictures) and free from restoration. Diameter: 27.5cm.
