Francois - Coro tried to give their costume jewelry a "French" touch and Francois was chosen as the name for their higher end jewelry. The line was introduced in 1933. But the line only lasted until 1944 when it was replaced by Vendome as Coro's Couturier division.
Francois was one of the new designers at Coro in 1938.

An amazing and rare saphiret glass demi parure consisting of a necklace and matching clip back earrings. Marked KRAMER OF NY. Circa 1960. An outstanding find from a Philadelphia estate. Early Kenneth Lane necklace is signed KJL, Laguna. While the pearls are false, they have an amazing luster that gives them the look of real pearls. Beautifully strung and knotted, there are four shades of pearls: two shades of "black pearls", beige/pink colored pearls, and white pearls. The clasp is dome shaped set with pave rhinestones and is 1 1/2" long and 1" wide. The necklace end to end (including clasp) is 34".
