this antique Tibetan pendant may have originally been used as earring or clothing ornament. I have slipped a simple black cord so it can now be used as a necklace. Coral and turquoise beads and silver decorations are all strung on a long silver post, so they can pivot around. the silver filigree disc at the bottom is missing one small filigree wire element, and possibly there was one a small stone in the middle of the disc...pendant measures 3+ inches long

Reply below. Acquired pre internet era as a collectible antique "Victorian" snake motif "wooden" bracelet which now appears to be a Black or Gold Coral branch bracelet carved crossover bypass bangle in snake motif, yet resembling carved Mississippi mud bakelite in color and swirls.
Also sometimes called "Gold" and can be almost black in color. It has an ethnographic "Easter Island" odd look snake appeal as well...

This is a Straits Nyonya silver plate or silver bantal/pillow end , silver repousse work to ornament the wedding pillow or wedding ceremonial ornaments for the Straits Chinese and Malays here, the pair is not in very fine state with some repairs and with wear/tear signs, it is more than 70 yrs old and older. Decorated with inlaid discs and squares of bone, horn and wood, in the manner of tribal or ethnographic art, this compelling long chain necklace has an exotic, sophisticated feel. The discs are decorated on both sides; the squares, only on one side. Each ring of the cable chain is completely secured with solder; the chain has no clasp but can be doubled. The dating is mostly likely 1950-1960, although it could be older. Doubled, the chain measures 28 ½ inches long. It is conservatively dated.

Large heavy gauge silver Hopi bolo. The oxydized bottom layer has a hand cut design top layer showing man and woman figures. The bolo measures 2" long by 1 5/8" wide. The black leather thong is 18 1/2" long doubled(39" long) and the silver tops are each 2 1/4" long. The mechanism in the back works perfectly. Excellent condition. Chinese Gilt hairpin set with real jade and oriental pearl, from Qing Dynasty

This beautiful green turquoise nuggets and shell heishi necklace from the American Southwest is 29" long. The larger nuggets are 1" long and the smallest is 5/8" long. The nuggets are in excellent condition and have aged beautifully.The Heishi beads between the nuggets are characteristically from the Southwest. They might even be olive shell.

Middle Eastern Sterling Silver Perfume bottle Hand tooled, well chased with a screw top . weight 35 g no apparent damage. Just over 3.5" high, acid tested as silver unmarked.

This is a heavy necklace with carnelian and a blue glass embellishment (three are missing as well as one small bottom dangle). The center stone shows some wear ( see photo). The chain, a replacement but identical to the original, measures 30", the pendant 3" x 4". Purchased in Africa during the 70's, the age is unknown.

Antique Peranakan or Straits Chinese silver belt, probably early 20th century. With its Aceh style Phoenix bird theme this belt was traditionally used by ladies at weddings and other festivities. The buckle – now missing but easily replaced by a matching textile ribbon - would have held a larger version of the Phoenix motif. With diffuse marks but tested for a silver content of 500/1000. Weight 143 grams. Length "14 ½ / 74 and width "1 ¾ / 4.5 cm. Condition: fine.

This necklace consists of 2 carved ivory beads 3/4ths inch diameter, 8 large carved bone beads 3/4th inch, and 88 smaller carved bone beads (1/2 inch). Each large bone and ivory bead has a protective metal sleeve around the stringing hole. If opened up the strand would measure approx 48 inches...beautiful patina on both the ivory and the bone beads....

Common to South Arabia and Yemen, the mesh "labbeh" or "Kirdam" were worn wrapped around the neck or attached to the sides of the headgear hanging down as a frame to women’s chin. This particular libbeh is from the late 1800’s–early 1900. This very finely made tribal labbeh has elaborate lengths of filigree and numerous dangling beads...

This stunning large necklace has multi stands of red/orange and black beads. The outside strands are decorated with a few small bronze bell forms and separated with cast bronze separators. Beautiful antique silver bracelet from Himalayan region, my best quess is Nepal. Six Lapis Lazuli stones set in convex curve with etched leaf design that covers the background of the bracelet. Hinge and pin opening gives easy on and off usage.

This Yao necklace and matching pair of earrings have added beads and long silk tassels. Both are light weight and easy to wear. The earrings are hollow with the same repeated design pattern on the backside. The wire loop may be a bit thick as they were made to accommodate the large ear holes which are traditional for the Chinese minority groups. These loops could easily be changed out for posts or a thinner wire hoop.

Originally, this was the largest of a set of 3 graduated matching silver necklaces. They were worn as a set for festival by the Miao Chinese Ethnic Minority women. The necklace was skillfully hand-formed from a sheet of silver into a curving tapered tube with a reposse pattern of 2 dragons chasing pearl. It spans 10.5 inches across.

This pair of traditional silver ear plugs were worn in the enlarge holes of the Yao woman of China and Thailand. The same filgree pattern is on both sides of the earplugs. The plugs are 1+ inches in diameter and 1/2 inches thick.

The shape of this antique pendant is a Dharmachakra or "wheel with 8 spokes", which is one of the eight auspicious symbols of Tibetan Buddhism. Eight oval shaped turquoise surround a ninth turquoise stone, with each stone set in a silver bezel on a silver backing. When mined, turquoise is a soft stone, and all old stones were set into a bezel for protection. Later stablization processes were used so that bezels were no longer required...

This hollow silver anklet is from the Nuristani area of Afghanistan. With the loose metal rattle rolling inside the hollow space, a soft noise was created as the wearer moves. This anklet has nice patina and has a few minor dents, which attest to the age and travels of the artifact.

Large by Western standards, this is actually the "childs" size version of this foo dog necklace worn by the Chinese Miao minority 70-90 years ago. Made of low grade silver, typical of Chinese jewelry of the time period, the intricate pendant is 5.5 inches across, 6.5 inches long and suspended from a long hand-made chain. The heads of the foo dogs are in a pin which allows them to turn freely and the central "flower" is also suspended on a wire which allows it to spin...

This wide cuff Chinese bracelet has deeply repousse design composed of detailed symbols related to Miao Ethic Minority myths and legends. Such bracelets would have been worn in matched pairs, one on each wrist, by the women of the "short skirt" Miao of Dan Zhai, and the bracelets would have been handed down from mother to daughter for generations.

The cuff is almost 3 inches at the widest point in the front because of its large size and rolled edge it easily slips onto most wrists.
