This is a Straits Nyonya silver plate or silver bantal/pillow end , silver repousse work to ornament the wedding pillow or wedding ceremonial ornaments for the Straits Chinese and Malays here, the pair is not in very fine state with some repairs and with wear/tear signs, it is more than 70 yrs old and older. This stunning large necklace has multi stands of red/orange and black beads. The outside strands are decorated with a few small bronze bell forms and separated with cast bronze separators. This necklace is from Cameroon Africa. The natural fiber cording ends are woven together and topped on one side with a shell and on the other side with a loop...together forming a clasp...very similar construction to necklaces out of Nepal

This antique necklace consists of large bells alternating with (symbolic) lotus pods. The bells are roughly 1.5 inches long. Though it has a hook closure, it is long enough to slip over the head of the wearer...Really fun to wear but not to the opera.
It is made of low grade silver which was commonly used by various tribal groups throughout Central Asian, and the Far East. The filigree work on the bells was most common to Northern India, Himalayas, Nepal.

Old hand made tribal turkomen moon shaped silver necklace with carnelians with original chain...easy to wear...
Many pieces of turkmen "jewelry" were sewn to clothing as amulets. This rare teke turkomen pendant was originally worn as a necklace and still has the original leather neckstrap. This piece has 5 flat carnelians and gold wash or "fireguilded" detail. The pendant is 6 inches across and 10 inches long.

Originally, this was the largest of a set of 3 graduated matching silver necklaces. They were worn as a set for festival by the Miao Chinese Ethnic Minority women. The necklace was skillfully hand-formed from a sheet of silver into a curving tapered tube with a reposse pattern of 2 dragons chasing pearl. It spans 10.5 inches across.

This pair of traditional silver ear plugs were worn in the enlarge holes of the Yao woman of China and Thailand. The same filgree pattern is on both sides of the earplugs. The plugs are 1+ inches in diameter and 1/2 inches thick.
This necklace consists of 2 carved ivory beads 3/4ths inch diameter, 8 large carved bone beads 3/4th inch, and 88 smaller carved bone beads (1/2 inch). Each large bone and ivory bead has a protective metal sleeve around the stringing hole. If opened up the strand would measure approx 48 inches...beautiful patina on both the ivory and the bone beads....

A collection of antique Ethiopian silver jewels, most of them Coptic Christian crosses. There is also a digit finger ring for a lady, and an ear spoon. Old Ethiopian silver, like these crosses, usually has a very high silver content, but is not hall marked. However, all these items have been tested for a silver content of at least 925 /1000. Altogether they weigh 127 grams. Sizes: largest cross "3 ½ / 9.2 cm and the smallest "1 ½ / 3.7 cm, inner diameter of the ring "3/4/ 18.5 mm...
