Extremely unusual modernist/deco design and LARGE SCALE 18k and citrines ring, c.1950's. It has four emerald-cut dark orange citrines set in very heavy gauge 18K gold. Handmade 14k bangle by Ronald Pearson, Rochester, N.Y., c.1950's. Although unsigned, I have previously had this design in both gold and silver signed by Pearson. Beautiful turned design, it is a classic modernist piece. The oval design measures 2 5/8" by 2 1/2" on the inside, and the inside circumference is 7 1/2". This beautifully executed 18 Kt yellow gold brooch from the 1960’s depicts two darling poodles standing at attention with a mischievous sparkle in their natural ruby and sapphire eyes. Their matching enameled collars add a touch of color to the richness of the textured gold. The brooch measures 1 ¼ inches wide and 1 inch tall. On the reverse side, there is a diamond-shaped hallmark stamped with a B in an oval with 18Kt and 750 marked on either side.
An 18k birks bow brooch with diamonds from the 1950s. This retro brooch with three claw-set round brilliant cut genuine diamonds circa 1950s is well-made; it measures 2-1/8" x 1-1/4" pin is stamped 18 K and BIRKS. It has a safety catch, and it weighs 9.9 grams. The diamonds measure approximately 6 points in total - they are sparkling clear and white (VS, E-F colour)...
A large 18K yellow gold Sputnik ring by H Stern. The dome is bezel-set with round amethysts, citrines, aquamarines, peridots, green tourmalines, pink tourmalines and garnets. The Sputnik design was created in the 1950’s to highlight the range of colored gemstones available from Stern’s Brazilian mines. It later came to be called “Sputnik” for its resemblance to the spiky Soviet satellite launched in 1957...
A beautiful 18K rose gold pendant set with an array of brilliant round-cut colored gems including green tourmaline, peridot, aquamarine, garnet, green beryl, citrine and pink topaz. The gems are arranged in a circle around the central peridot set in a multi-level buttercup setting. The rosy shade of the gold contrasts beautifully with the rich colors of the gemstones...
A matching 18k yellow gold rubies pearl and blue enamel necklace and brooch set circa 1960s by Uno-A-Erre. This set consists of the 1-1/4" across brooch with a safety catch and the 17-3/4" lavaliere type necklace with a satin finish clasp (the clasp is the same design as used for pearl necklaces). Each piece has cobalt enamelled flower petals with central genuine claw-set rubies, and there are a few random spots with a soft pink enamel around the leaves...
Extremely rare and wonderful gold version of famous boomerang pin by Ed Wiener, NYC modernist, c.1955. Dimensional with high edges, it measures 1 7/8" long by 1 1/4" wide and has a raw orange citrine. The pin partially obscures the signature which shows "E-------ER" and this was not an unusual occurrence during this period of hand made jewelry. Excellent condition except that pin and lock are made of a white metal...
Early famous hand made 14K and ebony modernist screwback earrings by Ed Wiener, NYC, 1955. They measure 1 1/4" long(not including screwback) by 3/4" wide and are unsigned. Get your retro on with this adorable modern bow pin and earring set from the 1960’s. The pin (2 1/8 x 1 ½ inches) and matching earrings in miniature (7/8 x 5/8 inches) are sculpted of a texturized 18 Kt gold with a wave pattern. The trio is set with 9 full cut diamonds; five in the pin and two in each earring bring the total carat weight to 0.35 Ct. The earrings have French backs, meaning that they are not pierced earrings, but they may be changed to posts upon request.
Whoooo wouldn’t love this tres chic 1960’s owl brooch in 18 karat yellow gold? The little scamp perches on a branch decorated with a ruby and five diamonds and winks at you with natural ruby eyes. The brooch measures more than 1 ½ inches tall and 1 inch wide at the widest point and has a total of approximately 0.20 carats in diamonds. Don’t let it fly away!
