Spratling Brooch Pendant which bears the first phase marks as shown is an iconic design from the Mexican Silver Renaissance. All the amethyst have the teat shape which is the original cut for the stones. There is no chips or cracks to the stones. It is a 3 inch circumference and has a weight of 71 grams. This is a substancial piece. It can be worn to clasp a shawl and hold considerable weight. Add your own chain and thread it thru the barrels and have a necklace!

A wonderful Skonvirke 830S silver brooch by the well regarded Danish silversmith, Evald Nielsen, (1879-1958).

Measures 2 5/8" long and 5/8" at the widest. Has one central dark purple cabochon. Very light, delicate hammering, beautiful repousse work. Marked 830S for the Danish silver standard and the stylized EN mark on the back. Has an older rollover clasp which holds securely. Very fine condition, with minor tarnish.

Truly a statement piece, this vintage sterling silver bracelet was designed and signed circa 1940's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar(1905-86). An Art Deco style sterling silver bracelet from Mexico with four bezel set amethyst carved masks alternating with domes and curved bars. The stones have some inclusions. We have seen the same bracelet with the FD mark for Fred Davis.

Marked Sterling Mexico on the clasp. Measures 7 1/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. Box clasp holds securely. Has some minor surfaces scratches, a few dings on the sides, some tiny flea bites to the amethyst and a little tarnish.

The vining floral from the vessel has great depth with 940 silver and dark natural patina from time. The weight is 66 grams heavy with a drop of 3.5in. tall and 4in. span across. This does not count the additional 2 vining links that are separate at the top so it is more expansive than just the pectoral drop. It lays like a dream with a wearable of a minimum of 17in. Doris Silver was a shop in Taxco during the Spratling era. She offered her space to craftsmen to produce quality and stunning jewels. This necklace is very heavy repousse with a wearable 17in. long with it's widest point being 7/8th in. The patina is naturally dark and thick. The design is floral with twisting and turning vines. Hidden within is a drop of 2.5in. across and 2 in. tall. I have never seen another like this one. No damage, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A repousse bracelet worked with great skill and signed JVE. A nice size being 1.25in. wide and approximately 40 grams of heavy repousse. The length is 7.25in. of comfort with no damage. The floral motif is on a thick silver base.

Beautifully aged sterling silver and warmly glowing copper combine effortlessly in this Los Castillo chevron brooch. This elegant, hand wrought set was designed by Taxco artist William Spratling in the early 1940's. The necklace measures 20 1/2" long & weighs 100 grams. Each link is 1" wide. Wild Picasso-esque design.

Bold and striking long sterling earrings designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen of Denmark. These earrings are from the "Future" line of jewelry manufactured by Hans Hansen between 1932 and 1948. They hang 2 3/4" long, are 3/4" wide at the bottoms and are screw backs. Weighing 11 grams total, they are in fine original condition. A fabulous Modernist design.

We have a Hector Aguilar cuff to offer today that is one of my favorite designs to wear. The silver is thick and is 1.5in. tall. The quality is further shown with a weight of 110 grams. Inside diameter is 2.25in. and can be professionally sized to fit if needed. The silver is deeply chased. On each side of the gap is a taller swirl than the width of the band giving it beauty all the way to it's ends. A collectors must have and all who desire a show stopper.

This hand wrought silver bracelet was designed by Hector Aguilar in the early 1940's. The carved rope wraps all the way around the bracelet. Weighing 35 grams it measures 3/4" wide and about 2 1/2 inches across. The piece has a beautifully aged patina with normal wear. Fully hallmarked for Aguilar on the inside.

Beautiful pair of hand made sterling and ebony LEAF trays by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1950. They match item #273200 which is a very large matching LEAF tray by Los Castillo. An early cross pendant in Sterling Silver with Coral, Amethyst and Turquoise by Matilde Poulat. Cross measures 1 3/4" wide and 1 7/8" tall. Marked MATL in script, Mexico, 925 and Pate 10670. Amethyst stone is faceted. Suspended on a 26" long Taxco hand wrought sterling chain marked with an Eagle #3, and the initials PCM. Fine condition, the colors of the stones are vibrant. Classic MATL design.

I love to find these rare pieces made by unknown makers. This one is exceptional. The size of the center link is 2.5 inches. There is a wearable length of 19 inches. All other links and earrings are 1.5 inches long. No chips or cracks to the stones and no dents to the silver. The lock is hidden under a link showing a well thought out design. All the repousse is thick with a total weight of 127.5 grams. Hallmarked MADE IN MEXICO STERLING. Extremely well cared for, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

A first design period sterling silver cuff bracelet by William Spratling. This cuff, known as the 'Dog Bone', measures 5 3/4" around with an opening of 1 3/8" and 7/8" wide at the ends. Probably could be slightly adjusted if needed. Marked with the incised WS with Spratling Made in Mexico in a circle mark, and Sterling. Has some minor scratches and tarnish and some very tiny dings. A true find for the collector.

Signed by a listed yet still unidentified workshop, this set of vintage silver and gold cufflinks is a classic Mexican Deco design.
