Classic Antonio Pineda bracelet that is board room sleek with a look that goes anywhere. The bracelet has a 2.5in. diameter and 5/8th in. high stature. There is a light amount of patina which will be left for the buyer to do with as they prefer. The hallmark is signed correctly as shown. It is hard to find one in this condition without dents or damage. I believe the stones to be a low sheen obsidian. Everything goes with the color black. Collector quality

This disc pin features a large faceted citrine in a bold prong setting. The stone has a light yellow-brown tinge and shows no signs of damage or wear. It is quite secure in its mount. Composed of four rectangular textured panels that are curved to fit comfortably around the wrist. This bracelet features an oxidized, textured surface with an unfinished look often associated with hand-crafted jewelry and at times, brutalist design. These interesting turquoise and sterling silver earrings were made in Mexico. The clover shape looks like three hearts with a stem, with the turquoise inlay separated by the sterling silver. The back of one of the screwbacks is marked HECHO EN MEXICO 925 (of which only HECHO EN M and 9 are legible). They also have the maker's initials: a curved BEH, of which the H is not fully stamped. These earrings measure 1" x 3/4". The patina is great as are the turquoise colors.

Inspired by an ancient Aztec or Maya eagle head glyph this set of Antonio Pineda cufflinks were crafted in the maestro’s favorite, .970 silver alloy. Overlay and oxidation are used here to convey the bird’s of prey features, fearsome by default yet a little bit on the cartoonish side as well, if I am allowed the comparison… Measuring approx...

A colorful studio piece molded as an abstract, modified circle and enameled in browns and blues. The back bears a secure rollover clasp on one side and a pendant bale on the other. The piece works best, however, as a pin. There are some illegible marks on the back; although the pin does not indicate silver, it does test definitively as silver, but not sterling. An intriguing contributor to Mexico's 20th c. Silver Renaissance, Taller Taxco is a workshop that, as far as my experience goes, created jewelry that were solely based on Salvador Teran's designs. High quality, attention to detail and generous weight distinguish their work from other, "lesser known" modernist talleres yet to this day, a relationship between them and Teran has not been firmly established. Whichever the case might be, the curved lozenge earrings presented here, based on Salvador o...

It's been a while since I presented a piece by Gerardo Lopez but he is one of my favorite Taxco maestros, a talented silversmith and designer who excelled in the art of repoussage. I believe Lopez was at his best when he created pectoral necklaces and clamper bracelets and it is an exquisite example of the latter form that I am showing here. Definitely inspired by Los Castillo and Margot de Taxco (I have suggested in the past that Lopez must have worked for either one or both of the famous works...
