A Charming and rare pair of vintage Sterling Silver stylized Bird Earrings by the famous Taxco jewelry artist Hector Aguilar. They measure 1 1/3" wide by 3/4" tall and weigh 10.1 grams total. The screw backs are in good working order and the silver has developed an aged patina that highlights the bird's detail. Hallmarked with the HA mono in the center of "Made in Mexico Sterling". A very special pair of earrings with a great look.

Huge and bold, vintage sterling " Armadillo " belt buckle by Hector Aguilar. It consists of 5 panels held together by rivets and measures a very impressive 6 1/4" by 2 3/4". Weighing a hefty 141 grams, it is in fine original condition and signed with Hector Aguilar's hallmark dating 1943-48. Suitable for a man or woman, this is a show stopping piece.

A set of three handmade large sterling buttons by the famous William Spratling, Mexico, c.1945. They are each signed "STERLING WS(around which says) SPRATLING MADE IN MEXICO" and measure 1" diameter and 1/4" thick(at widest). There is a 10in span of 3 drops and 2 additional links connected to chain and a thick silver hook. The necklace has a wearable length of 17in. Each drop is a dramatic 2.5in. long and the silver to the links is also thick and made with precision repousse. This is a lovely 3-piece suite of earrings and a brooch, circa 1940's. The earrings and brooch have 3 layers of petals / leaves. The top of each one surrounds the turquoise stone. The earrings are screwback and measure 1/4" x 1/4" (x 1/2" high, from the lowest petal to the top of the stone). Each earring is marked SILVER MEXICO. The brooch displays 6 smaller stones with the same floral design with the top petals enveloping the stones. It measures 1 5/8" x 3/8" (x 1/4") and marked STERLING.

Rafael Melendez worked for Spratling when he first opened his taller de las Delicias. Melendez left to open his own Taller in 1939. This is one of his earliest marks that was done in 980 silver. Some of the Silver repousse links have Matl like glyphs. The silver sets up the onyx stones in the cross giving it great depth and dimension. Having a large presence the necklace is 20.75 in. with the extension and 15in. without it...

Spratling designed this "pyramid" buckle in the 1940's. The buckle measures 2 1/8" X 1 1/2". It weighs 40 grams & will fit a 1 1/8" wide strap. The design is pictured on spratlingsilver.com where Phyllis Goddard explains the design was "made in 3 versions with this one being the largest or the "grande" model." The buckle is in great condition with heavy patina and some surface wear. Hallmarked on the reverse SPRATLING SILVER & MADE IN MEXICO...

A vintage modernist sterling silver bracelet by Taxco artisan, Erika Hult de Corral in a stylized chevron design. Marked Ric, Taxco SA, Hecho en Mexico, and 925. Also has style number 40.

Measures 6 1/4" around the inside and 2 3/4" long at the front. Better for a smaller wrist although I think it was made to stay in place and not spin around. Clasp snaps securely. There is a safety catch for extra security.

The flowers appear to be floating in air on your wrist. The leaves balance the underside. All of this is orchestrated by a simple twisted wire frame. There is great depth with the construction of each flower. The beauty of this cuff is displayed in 2 inches of height and 7inches wearable length including the gap of just under one inch. You can see from the back that the flowers are open backed repousse made with thick silver. No chips or dents. The camera can not capture the magic of this brace...

These beautiful, sterling silver earrings have a classic Mexican, 1940's design. They are screwbacks, and measure 1" x 1" x 1". The central stones are bezel-set: green chalcedony / jade. Each earring's back is marked HECHO EN MEXICO D.F. 925, with a maker's mark of JP inside a rectangle. The D.F. stands for Distrito Federal: made in Mexico City.

This Miguel Melendez hinged bangle is patterned with irregular shaped 1 mm thick silver tiles or pavers, fitted into one another kind of scaling or print. The channels or recessed portions are highly oxidized and the brighter polished areas provides a great play on light-to-darkness.

Measuring 27" long, this 940 sterling silver & copper necklace was designed c. 1940-50's by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-86). Taxco 980 signed pieces are always quality. This link is 118 grams heavy and is the closest thing to the Coco design of the Spratling original necklace which is so very, very rare. The Taxco 980 necklace is 20in. long and has a depth of 7/16th's giving it even more dimension. No dents or damage and kept lovingly through time.
