This Los Castillo bracelet is a truly stunning piece, with a wonderful deco design. There are six gently curved panels connected with oxidized bulls-eye spirals, from which two pendants dangle in front. This is Los Castillo's design # 788, and it is collector quality. Complete with safety chain. Measures a closed, wearable length of 6 1/4". Width in front with the dangles is 1 1/2". Weight is 42.3 grams. This striking design was created by Taxco, Mexico modernist Antonio Pineda in the 1950's. 20 brilliant tigers eye stones are set into 970 sterling frames. Silver rods tipped with beautifully matched pearls & 2 with silver are interspersed. The central element measures 3 3/4" across & 2 3/4" long at the center. The silver tipped velvet cord measures 29" long. Weighing 70 grams the necklace is in exquisite condition.

Circa 1948-1953, this early Antonio Pineda necklace is a supremely rare piece. I have never seen another quite like it. Hallmarked Silver by Tono, this is collector quality, and in superb original condition, including the stringing - which is a ribbed silver wire with silver crimping at the ends where it joins a hook and eye closure on each side. The center links measure 2" tall. Sixteen repousse middle panels which oppose each other in the center, graduating in size...

Spratling was known to have a large collection of Pre-Columbian Mayan & Olmec objects. He designed this necklace using hand wrought sterling silver beads, coral beads & hand carved obsidian Olmec figures most likely acquired from locals in the surrounding areas of Taxco, Mexico. Classic William Spratling famous "Petate" sterling pin, Mexico, c.1945. The mysterious "petate" is one of the most compelling designs ever conceived. It is signed "SPRATLING SILVER & WS (around which says)SPRATLING MADE IN MEXICO". Made of very heavy gauge silver, it measures just shy of 3" by 2 1/2". Circa pre-1960, this necklace produced by Matilde Poulat has a generous length of 23", with a 3 1/4" wide center. There are amethyst stations on each side, with double chains continuing up the neck. The palomas sit next to a vase with turquoise flowers. Length on the center is 2 1/2".

Weight is a substantial 91.1 grams.
