The design is made of concave twisted bows of oxydized silver surrounded by a border of shiny silver. The NECKLACE measures 17" around(closed) and each of the 9 links measures 1 3/4" by 1/2" wide. The BRACELET measures 8 1/2" around(closed) and each of the 7 links measures 1" by 1/2" and has a safety chain. The PIN measures 1 5/8" long by 1" wide...

Vintage Spratling era reminding one of Aguilar, et al, hand tooled dense pin brooch with a 6mm green ish turquoise cab simply stamped: MEXICO SILVER. Although could be a higher content - the weight is dense as with many early pre assay jewelry. Early wide C catch. By one of Spratling's or Aguilar's contemporary silversmiths no doubt.

An unusual Taxco Mexican sterling silver pendant and chain, with a central Pre Columbian carved green frog by the noted female jeweler, Bernice Goodspeed.

The pendant measures 1 1/2" long and 1 1/8" across. The very detailed chain measures about 15 1/2" long. Hook closure. Marked on the back Sterling Taxco around the stylized 'B' for the artisan. Also marked with what looks like Eagle #28.

Very intricate work. Deep green color. Fine quality.

An unusual pair of twisted Taxco, Mexico Sterling Silver earrings with bronze or copper ends by William Spratling. We have not been able to find another pair in this design. Measure 3/4" across and 5/8' high. Marked on the back of each screw back with Spratling Silver which was used from 1940-44. Screw backs hold securely. Have some tarnish, a tiny ding and minor scratches. Great design. Pre Eagle.

Dating in the earlier period of Matilde Poulat’s extraordinary career, the cross pendant presented here is adorned with Matl’s favorite stones - turquoise, amethyst and coral. Inspired by Mexico’s rich folk art, it belongs in her daringly eye-catching series of “jeweled” creations but here, there is an additional motif that makes the pendant even more precious. Namely, the two small repousse angel dangles, facing each other in a kneeling position with lit candles in their hands...

I have had this mod Taxco bracelet a few times over the years - also in ring, earrings and brooch form. And I never tire of it! The example at hand is signed by maestro Moreno and it has the beguiling sculpturality that makes the design memorable. Two perfectly crafted silver spheres sitting on stylized leaves - that is all yet it is so much more. Gutsy, slick and eye-catching at the same time - definitely a bracelet for the daring among us...

Intricately constructed of sterling silver & stone this piece was designed c. 1940's by American & Taxco, Mexico artist William Spratling. Measuring 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" the pin weighs 40 grams. A twist to Margot de Taxco's classic all silver zodiac pendant / charms this sinewy Sagittarius rises above a background of multicolored confetti enamel. A true feast for the eyes, the archer faces the viewer but has his head turned to the right in the direction of his outstretched bow-holding arm. A Mexican sterling silver necklace and bracelet set by Artemio Navarrette. He was a master silversmith who worked for William Spratling, later producing jewelry under his own name. This 2 pc. set consists of the 7" length bracelet and the matching 15-1/4" length necklace. Each has a hook and eye clasp, they are made out of domed cutout 11/16" across segments...
