This great 3-piece set (parure, suite) has a modernist design, with leaves swirling into buds. The brooch is also a pendant. It measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2". It is marked TAXCO HECHO EN MEXICO STERLING 925 Assay Mark 3 and V.A. (for the silversmith). The earrings are screwbacks and measure 1/2" x 1 1/4", marked TAXCO V.A., as well. This 3-piece set is in great condition and has a good heft.

Taxco Mexican brooch or pin by Miguel Melendez. Pre-Columbian motif of a stylized bird’s head surrounded by a circle with azurite inlay. Fully marked, with maker’s mark (small m inside a C), eagle stamp and 3 = after 1948. Security clasp. Diameter "1½/ 3,8 cm. Condition: fine.

This great, large Taxco Mexico mod pendant / brooch measures 3" x 2 1/8". It has a cool geo shape with three dangles. It is sterling silver with inlaid azur-malachite: blues and greens. The back is signed with all hallmarks: STERLING TAXCO, AC, Cecilia in script, HECHO EN MEXICO, Tono in script and numbered 80. This lovely, colorful pendant and/or pin in excellent condition.

A vintage Taxco pin pendant with maker's mark of "FLC" inside a circle: "Taxco Mexico Sterling 925" and assay # 3. Could this be by a Castillo family member? Multi color gem fish, micro inlay around a very modernist fish pendant pin combination.

If I saw this piece from far away, I would think it's a poison ring - that's how impressive in size and lift its gallery is. Yet not to worry, there is no hidden compartment here and you won't be tempted to become a modern-day Lucrezia Borgia! Beauty and commanding presence, though, yes! There is a lot of that in the sodalite's dark blue depths with their cloudy grey swirls and that river of black cutting across right through the cab's middle...

Each piece bears the unidentified maker’s mark of GHS and the sterling mark and Mexico marks; the necklace also has what looks like an eagle 3 mark. Both pieces have secure hook and ring clasps. Featuring a clean impressed linear decoration enhanced with oxidation, this unmarked bangle looks to have been inspired by Mexican or Native American design of the U.S. Southwest. It has a graduated width and interesting, irregular-shaped terminals. There is a little bit of give in the fit, but the bracelet is quite strong and has retained its shape. These 1-3/8 x 1" earrings have had their screwbacks mounted over the mark (MEX), but they test as silver and the amethyst cabochons are genuine. A heavy, organic design distinguishes this handmade Mexican ring from its contemporaries. The stone is set within a vine-like mount, and is highly polished, fiery, showing very little wear. The ring band and mount have somewhat of a rough, handcrafted look, and the surface has a robust patina from age. It dates c. 1960, and is partially marked Mexico on the inner band on one side, and 925 with another mark starting with M that could be for Mexico or the maker’s initials...

This sterling silver link bracelet is set with six-sided pieces of green glass. The glass is bezel-mounted and secured with strap work; four leaf-shaped pillows surround the glass on each pane. Save for a small dent in one pillow (see Photo #5, center panel), the bracelet looks hardly worn. It is marked on the tongue with ‘Mexico’ in script and sterling under it. The clasp is very secure. This sturdy, nicely made sterling silver bracelet is composed of incised openwork sections securely linked by small rods. The tongue and groove clasp, with push-button release, is in good working order; the safety chain appears to be original. The marks are well struck, and possibly indicate the work of the Taxco maker Beto. The bracelet measures about 7 1/2 inches long (excluding clasp) by 3/4 inch wide. Weight: 50.9 grams

This tennis racket and tennis ball pin is made in Mexico. It is marked 925. The ball is a pearl. I cannot make out the makers mark. It is 2 3/8" x 15/16"

This stunning bracelet has a great geometric design. It is 7" long with each link measuring 3/4" x 1/2". It has a V-spring and Box Clasp, as well as a safety chain. The back is marked BETO TAXCO 925 (and something else I cannot make out), and, STERLING HECHO EN MEXICO. It has good heft and is in excellent condition.
