An abstract modernist mixed metals brooch by Irvin and Bonnie Burkee. Copper with sterling silver overlay. Measures 1 1/4" long and 5/8" wide. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. Marked BURKEE on the back. Has some tarnish and minor surface scratches. Interesting piece from a well know Mid Century artisan.

A sterling silver hand wrought necklace with eight lightly hammered leaf shaped dangles of graduated sizes by the mid century modernist studio jeweler, Ruth Berridge, (1921-2004). Berridge referred to these types of designs as mobiles.

The necklace measures about 16" around, and the longest drop falls 1 3/4". Marked Berridge Sterling on the back of one leaf and Berridge Hand Made on the underside of the hook clasp. The hook closes securely. An extender could be added if needed...

An unusual pendant by the noted modernist jeweler, Paul Lobel. This pendant, made of a sterling silver 'wishbone' with a dark rusty orange, probably carnelian drop, is a rare design. You can see lots of striations when it is held up to the light.

Signed on the inside, LOBEL, Sterling. Has a large bale so can be worn on a thick chain, cord or neck ring. Currently suspended from a black silky cord. The pendant measures 1 1/4" across and 2" high including the bale...

A rare sterling silver modernist necklace by Phyllis Sklar, American Mid Century jeweler. This piece has a sterling wire overlay on a darkened, oxidized surface adorned with an oval moonstone cabochon, three small pearls, a green bezel set stone, (maybe jade) and dangles of pale green and dark red bezel set cabochons.

Measures 16 1/2" long with a 1 3/4" drop in the center. Has the stylized 'p' hallmark, phyllis and sterling on the back...

Gorgeous hand made made modernist sterling and agate pin by Brannon. Beautiful agate set in textured silver pin and measures 1 1/2" by 1 1/2". Signed "BRANNON STERLING" and "TO JOY 7/10/83 LOVE BOB". Composed of four rectangular textured panels that are curved to fit comfortably around the wrist. This bracelet features an oxidized, textured surface with an unfinished look often associated with hand-crafted jewelry and at times, brutalist design. The pins holding the panels together are slightly bent, but are secure and contribute to its handmade look. The fold-over clasp is secure, and there is a safety chain, probably added later...

Handmade post modern sterling pin, c.1970's. The design shows a bending, folding and crumpling of silver sheeting forming an intricate, well designed, constructed and executed piece. Of good size, it measures 2 3/4" by 2 1/2". It is signed "STERLING SANDAGE"(?) and is in excellent condition.....$10 for insured USA shipping plus applicable NY tax.

Long sterling necklace, c.1960's. Consisting of three vertical parts with a 24" link chain that has 3 hand made sections. Each framed section measures 2 1/4" wide by 1 1/2" high. An abstract sterling silver brooch and or matching pendant with neckring by Modernist NYC Silversmith, Henry Steig. They have a folded three dimensional design with a pearl.

Brooch measures just under 2" long and 3/8" at the widest. Rollover clasp holds securely. There is a little wear to the top surface of the pearl but you have to use a loupe to see it.

The matching pendant measures 1 3/8" long and 1/4" at the widest. Has some tarnish...

Composed of a curving piece of forged wire, these earrings evoke a feeling of graceful movement. Each wire design is attached to a constrasting static teardrop-shaped top. They have secure posts and a nice patina from age. They are unmarked, but test definitively for sterling. Each earring measures just under 2 inches long by 1 inch wide. Gross weight: 5.7 grams total

An organic mid century modern ring by the American studio jeweler, Paul Miller. This ring, executed in sterling silver with an Opal cabochon, is currently a size 8 1/2 and can be adjusted up or down because of the open back. Marked Paul Miller, Sterling on the inside. Opal measures 5/8" long and 3/8" across. Has a little tarnish and a few minor surface scratches. Very fine example of his work.
