In the 1920s an archaeological find was made near an old farm in southern Sweden, a bronze key from the 9th century, the Viking era. It depicts a phantasy animal in a ring where the ends - traditional Celtic or Viking monster heads - are holding the key blade. The key is sometimes called the Key to Heaven, though Valhalla would be more suitable since Scandinavia at the time was not yet Christian. This massive silver copy was made by W A Bolin in Stockholm in the 1960s...

Arts & crafts period handmade and very large Scandinavian 830 silver with 4 luminous labradorites stones pendant, c.1905. It is signed "830 S (floral or bug mark) #493", and each of the first 3 marks are in lozenges. Made of heavy gauge lightly gold-washed silver and large scale, it measures 3 5/8" long by 2 1/4" wide. An amazing sterling silver modernist brooch with a bark like texture thought to be designed by Finnish jeweler Helky Juvonen and produced by N. Westerback in 1973.

Measures 2" across and 2" high. Has a rollover clasp that holds securely. Marked with 925 for the silver standard, NW for the maker, the National Mark and Date Code U7 for 1973.

In fine condition, very intricate and detailed. Dark patina. Weighs 19 gr. Wonderful example of modernist Scandinavian design.

A Norway sterling silver and blue enamel brooch circa 1960s by Einar Modahl of Oslo. This attractive vintage modern 2-1/8" x 1-5/8" pin is a lovely royal hue. This Norwegian abstract double leaf is marked 925 S with the Einar Modahl maker's mark and an N in a square and STERLING NORWAY. The light colour or mauvish spots are artifacts of the photography and light reflections, the enamel is smooth and even with no damage...

This lovely, mod pin / brooch. It is by the fins Danish silversmith, Niels Erik From. It measures 2 1/8" x 1". It is in excellent condition. The back is marked STERLING DENMARK NE FROM 925 S.

An amazing modernist sterling silver ring with an abstract figural design signed with what looks like JPC, Iceland and 925S. Measures about a size 7- 7.5. The top sits 1/2" high and measures about 7/8" across and 1 3/8" long. Has an interesting hammered texture. Really stands out! Great example of Scandinavian modernist design.

Here is a nice Norwegian pendant from David-Andersen in a stylized spade shape, decorated with a pattern of impressed and textured half-circles. According to an internet source, it was designed by Toril Bjorg for David-Andersen in 1977. It is well marked on the back, and measures 2 inches long by 1 1/4 inches at its widest part. Weight: 15.4 grams

A lightly hammered sterling silver brooch with a central agate by Tone Vigeland, who worked with the Norway Plus Design Studio. The central stone has gold speckles which catch the light. Heavy thick sterling.

Measures 1 3/4" across and 2" high. Marked with the ND for Norway Designs, and conjoined TV for Tone Vigeland. Also has the Plus sign, Sterling and Norway.

Sterling bracelet by E.GRANIT, Finland, 1973. Signed "hallmark E.GRANIT&CO. 925 U7 MADE IN FINLAND" and is in excellent condition. The center circle measures 1 3/8" and is 3/4" high. The bracelet measures 6 1/2" inside diameter but the bracelet opens to put on the wrist. The bracelet measures 5/16" wide......$11 for insured USA shipping.

Here is a lovely pair of double-leaf, clipback earrings. The basse-taille enamel is a vivid, seafoam green. The earrings are marked with David Andersen hallmarks: the pair of scales, D-A 925 S STERLING NORWAY, with the designer’s mark (W inside a circle). (The clipback findings are marked “METALL” on the outside of the clip.) The earrings and their curvy, shiny leaves measure 1 3/8” x 1”. The pair is in excellent condition.

These earrings are made of roughly cast concave oval discs. Each drop hangs from a rosette-shaped top and swings freely. Due to the casting process, there are slight differences in darkness among the pieces: The tops exhibit darker oxidation than the drops, and there is a slight difference in shade between the earrings in general. The surface has a brushed finish. The screw backs are marked S835, with an unidentified maker’s mark of what looks like I.Bh. They are probably Norwegian...

Sterling modernist bracelet by Georg Jensen designed by ASTRID FOG, Denmark, c.1960's and has separate MATCHING RING(see item# 482005). Design consists of 7 5/8" squares by 1/4" thick and measures a very LONG 8 1/2". It is signed "GEORG JENSEN(in dotted oval) 925S DENMARK 182" and is in excellent condition. A double row of petals composed of gilded sterling silver and enameled in deep red adds a bit of drama to this late-1960s flower pin. A cross-hatch grid pattern of guilloche work under the enamel enhances the design. There is a secure rollover clasp on the back, with a maker’s mark of a crown and marks for sterling and Norway. It measures 2 ¼ inches across by 2 ½ inches long, including the stem. Weight: 22.8 grams

Here is a beautiful, ornate, Norwegian sterling silver and enamel bracelet. It consists of 8 butterfly-shaped, linked panels of pearly white guilloche enamel. Each panel has a lovely applied wirework decoration with beaded center. The bracelet has a safety chain and a V-spring and box clasp, on which, “925 S STERLING NORWAY” is marked, along with a maker’s mark of (what looks to me like) an “E” inside a lobed oval. (I am unfamiliar with this artist’s hallmark)...
