Formed as parrots with flowing tails, with sharply molded detail. One clip mechanism is slightly loose, but both are in good working order, with a patent application number that dates to 1931. The backs bear the Los Castillo/Taxco/Made in Mexico marks, as well as the design number of 168A. Each bird measures 1 7/8 inches long by 1 3/8 inches at the widest part. Gross weight: 26.6g
This lovely necklace is 17" long. It consists of sterling silver links (each 7/8" long) that meet to display a decorative bordered Eilat stone (the national stone of Israel: "The King Solomon Stone"). The colorful stone (greens and blues), set in sterling, has a diameter of 3/4". The drop itself measures 1 3/4" x 1 1/8". The back is marked 925. This piece is in excellent condition. The necklace has a single chain and hook clasp.

Unusual Victorian silver plate walnut box motif scent holder with good luck charms, comprised of a hinged intricate designed walnut with a wishbone on a chain hanging from one side. The box opens to reveal a white metal double-sided picture locket and a loose seal having a horseshoe and nail motif, unmarked but of English origin, circa 1860-1900; Measurement- 1 3/4 inches long x 1 1/2 inches diameter; Condition-Very good with missing scent bottle and bracket, wear to silver plate.
Matching the brooch of the same design that it also available here (you can see the two pieces together in one of the photos here) this Los Castillo Mexican silver and copper ring is a rather rare find and I am happy to have come upon it. Weaving together the two metals in a chevron / arrow pattern, it is additionally embellished with tiny little sterling beads and has a visually interesting shank as well...

This unique and rare set by the famous Margot de Taxco consists of three matching pieces. All are 1 7/8" wide with one piece measuring 21" long, one measures 10" long and the other measures 2 3/4" long. All pieces have hook closures and can be attached together. The longest and medium pieces are both hallmarked Margot de Taxco, Sterling Made in Mexico along with the design number 5158 and the eagle 16. Very heavy with a total weight of 334 grams. An amazing sterling silver modernist heavy cuff bracelet adorned with two crescent shaped Mother of Pearl cabochons by the renown Israeli jeweler, Rachel Gera. Measures 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1". This cuff is rigid and has no give. The cabochons were intentionally set off center. Measures 7/8" wide. Signed on the back Handmade, Israel, Gera and 925. Fine condition. It is a little out of round. Heavy and substantial. Better for a smaller wrist. Wonderful piece of modernist jewelry.

The Deco year saw an influx of gorgeous jewelry out of China in which, more often than not, contemporary silver work was combined with antique elements like carved semi-precious stone buttons, medallions and even mah-jhong and other game pieces. The ring I am presenting here is an immigrant of that era. Delicate silver vermeil adjustable shank and an old amethyst "button" with a lotus flower carving come together in an understated, classically elegant combination...
