Less-is-more would be the term I would use to describe this Carmen Beckmann modernist ring if it weren’t for that stone! Molten caramel golds fill the tiger’s eye slab almost in an ombre arrangement so that the ring changes the way it looks as the light that hits it changes...

Unmarked unsigned tested sterling silver pendant necklace with old spring ring closure. Unsigned maybe Arts Crafts or Art Deco era, yet mostly hand made in the Modernism and Arts Crafts tradition. The hand wrought "cage like" pendant holds a 9mm undrilled jade jadeite or nephrite orb then ends with a chain tassel for a total of 1.5".
The 17" chain ends in a pesky old style spring ring clasp that is marked sterling. Needs a good polishing...

A silver marcasites chariot & goats shell cameo pin brooch from 1900 1920. This unusual and beautiful vintage .800 silver filigree mounted shell cameo brooch has a barrel or trombone clasp, the setting is stamped with two marks that are difficult to make out as well as ITALY 800, and the hand carved shell cameo depicts a winged putto or angel figure in a chariot being pulled by two rearing goats (as they are wont to do...)...

A fabulous and early vintage sterling necklace with square cut crystal stones and a huge pear shaped cut crystal drop. The clasp is marked STERLING and the other elements test positive for sterling. Circa 1920. Beautifully made and detailed. The edges of the square stone settings are engraved with delicate patterns. The stones are brilliant and glittering.

Navajo silversmith Kenneth Begay (1913-1977) was an early innovator and leader in Navajo modern jewelry design. He is known for his clean, bold, modern designs while still influenced by his traditional background. This pair of sterling cuff bracelets are a perfect example. One of the bracelets measures 5 1/8" around in the inside with a 1 1/2" opening and the other measures 5" around in the inside with a 1 1/2" opening. They are both 1/4" wide and weigh 78 grams total...

Absolutely stunning very big Danish sterling silver modernist vintage 1960s statement size ring with luminous blue green abalone shell inlay, by Danish jewelry maker Arne Johansen. Marked 925S and DENMARK, and signed AJ. Ring size 7. Great size -- the top is 1 3/8 inches long, 5/8 inch wide, and stands 1/4 inch off the finger. Excellent condition. Display form is life size. Beautiful design reminiscent of a Navajo rug pattern by Navajo Julian Nez who was the brother of Gibson Nez. Both deceased, they were highly noted for the exceptional precision of their work. This bracelet measures 5 3/4" around in the inside, plus an additional 1 5/8" opening, and is 1 1/4" wide. It could be adjusted by a skilled jeweler. This sterling silver, mod pin / brooch measures 1 5/8" x 1 1/2" x 1/2". It is truly extraordinary. Its textured surface looks like tin foil. It has a spherical, green chalcedony stone and is circa 1970's. It is in excellent condition and has a good heft.

This elegant and stylish bracelet by Antonio Pineda features thick silver links set with an oval cabochon Amethyst stone on one side with a luminous Pearl on the other. Beautifully crafted in thick heavy silver it measures 6 5/8" long by 7/8" wide and weighs 67.1 grams. In good condition with a secure box clasp and attached safety chain with light minor wear and tarnish. Hallmarked with the Antonio Taxco Crown, Sterling, Taxco and the eagle 208 (see photo)...

A modernist pendant by the noted NYC jeweler, Paul Lobel. This pendant, made of sterling silver with a wire overlay reminds us of a stylized longhorn. Signed on the back, LOBEL, Sterling.

Measures 1" across and 1 1/4" high including the bale. Chain measures 16" and has a spring closure that holds securely. Has some tarnish and a nick to the silver wire, (which can be buffed out if desired).

Measuring 5 1/2" around in the inside plus an additional 1 1/4" opening, it is 1 3/4" wide in the front, 1/2" at the terminals and weighs 74 grams...

A vintage modernist sterling silver cuff bracelet by Danish silversmith, Palle Bisgaard in a tiered curved shape. His torque necklace, part of this same line is included in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. This is the widest version of this cuff, with an extra tier at the bottom edge.

Measures about 5 1/2" around with an opening of 1" and 3/4" at the widest. There does not appear to be much give so it is better for an average to slender wrist.

This Victorian sterling hinged ivy leaves bangle hand engraved bracelet is 1 1/4" wide. The inside is 2 1/4" x 1 7/8". This bracelet is circa 1870. There are no hallmarks that I can find on this item.

Double-sided period art nouveau clover design sterling pill box by Unger Brothers, Newark, c.1895. Can be worn with ring to attach a chain at top. Lovely scalloped opening and measures 1 3/4" diameter by 15/16" deep. Signed "UB STERLING 925 FINE UB" in excellent condition with small dent(1/4" long) at top near ring.
