Rare and beautiful Intertwined Curving X Cuff in 940 silver by Hector Aguilar. It is featured on page 151 of the catalogue from the William Spratling and the Mexican Silver Renaissance Exhibit "MAESTRO DE PLATA" and also on page 19 of the book SILVER MASTERS OF MEXICO by Penny Morrill. A modernist sterling silver cuff bracelet from Denmark, designed by Knud V. Andersen for Anton Michelsen.

The cuff is made from thick sterling with a molten like texture. Measures 6" around with an opening of 1". Measures 1 1/8" at the widest. This size can not be adjusted.

Marked 925S, KVA, Danmark and with the AM hallmark of Anton Michelsen. Note that Denmark is spelled Danmark, so not originally for export.

Fine condition, dark patina. Feels great on!

Being offered is a rare circa 1955 sterling silver and obsidian stone bracelet by Alfredo Villasana of Taxco, Mexico. The handcrafted thick gauge silver cuff set with a large round obsidian stone secured by four spiral prong settings, secured with box clasp. Villasana worked for William Spratlng and Hector Aguilar before opening his own shop in Taxco. Dimensions: Size 8”; stone is 1 3/4" by 2 1/4"; band is 3/4" wide. Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition.

Heavy sterling silver British ring with a chunk of iron pyrite. The English hallmarks and date this mod ring to 1969. The top of the ring measures about 3/4" in diameter X 5/8" H. The shank is 1/4"W and the ring is a sizable 8.5. It is signed inside the shank AMB which is the maker's mark and hallmarks for London, England and the year 1969. The ring is in excellent condition.

Modernist handmade large-scale necklace by WIGGERS, DENMARK, c.1960's. The applied top layer of modernist design is handmade silver and tiger eye and are atop two squares of silver-plate. The hand made heavy gauge silver chain is 30" long. The top plaque measures 1 1/2" square and the lower plaque measures 1 3/4" by 1 12/". When worn, the necklace is 18 1/2" long. Sterling ring by deceased modernist jeweler, Jo Catanzaro, Buffalo, NY, who died in 2004 in her 80's. Handmade with oxydized and shiny silver elements. The sides, however, are thicker and a little more rounded than the more common interpretation. It is marked inside with the Mexico Eagle 1 and the maker’s initials of ESM.
