Early piece by one of the pioneers of the premiere Taxco Silver ateliers. Handwrought half domed links with bezel set amethyst cabochons. Tongue & box clasp. Dimensions: 14 1/2” long, links are 1/2" wide. Marked as illustrated. In excellent condition.

Sterling repousee bracelet by Los Castillo, Mexico, c.1947. This is part of a two piece necklace/bracelet set, each offered separately. Featuring a delicate, butterfly-like design, these earrings are unmarked except for a 925 sterling mark, but read Mexican in design. They measure 1 5/8 inches long by 1 inch wide. They are secured by kidney wires with hooks and are worn perpendicular to the ear. Weight: 5.8 grams total

Uniquely designed hand made sterling and amethyst cuff, c.1970's. Large and bold, the design has a hand hammered concave disc set with a cabochon amethyst atop a cuff. The disc measures 2 1/8" in diameter and the amethyst is 9/16" in diameter. The cuff is a large scale 2 1/4" wide and the inside circumference measures 7 1/2". It will fit a medium and large wrist. Of good weight, it is in excellent condition...

Rare, large sterling swordfish by the famous modernist Mexican silversmith, Salvador Teran, c. 1952. It is signed "SALVADOR STERLING MEXICO #106" and is in excellent condition. This interesting bracelet has a rough look to it, with irregular edges and iridescent, highly oxidized surface. The band is pierced as a belt, and is hammered into a strong but flexible construction. The hook clasp is secure and shows no signs of stress. The bangle shows very few signs of wear; it is unsigned and marked as sterling. It measures just under ½ inch wide; inner circumference is 7 inches. The bracelet opens about 1 inch to accommodate the wrist. Weight: 19.3 grams

From a Cape Cod collector one finds this sleek curvilinear silver cuff bracelet stamped: STERLING with a fab picture jasper cab as the focal point. Modernist, Native American and Mexican jewelry makers have crafted this look through the years. The landscape picture jasper reminds one of Owyhee Rocky Butte or Cripple Creek in origin, yet here with its muted landscape scenery and "tree leaves" in the upper left foreground. Sm to Med frame. A repousse bracelet worked with great skill and signed JVE. A nice size being 1.25in. wide and approximately 40 grams of heavy repousse. The length is 7.25in. of comfort with no damage. The floral motif is on a thick silver base.

An ode to overlay, beading and masterfully applied oxidation, this figural little Mexican Deco brooch is a depiction of Ozomahtli, the monkey companion of god Xochipili, associated with play and merry-making. I could have easily sworn that this is an example of Francisco Rivera’s work yet since it is not signed for maker, I can only suggest this might be the case...
