An unusual pair of sterling silver modernist earrings by Salvador Teran. Marked Salvador, Sterling, Mexico and 140 for the style number. Pre eagle.
Measure 1 1/2" long and 7/8" wide. Screw backs hold securely.
Depict some kind of highly stylized creature. Haven't been able to find another pair with this style number. Great modernist design!
Signed Silver Mexico this bracelet has a presence that makes it not matter that a major designer has not signed it. It molds to your wrist and the height of the face front is one of the main makers of the fabulous look at almost one inch high. The push pin is hidden under the link to open for the wrist. The weight is 65 grams and the silver is thick. The repousse balls are many and without dents...
Not much is known about Industria Argentina, except that they produced exceptionally designed and crafted jewelry in the 1950s and '60s. This weighty silver ring is typical of their purist modernist aesthetic.
Size 6. Marked "Industria Argentina, Buenos Aires," and hallmarked 900 for silver fineness. Quite substantial at 11.9 grams. Excellent vintage condition.
Bold, clean lines on this sterling and coral ring by Frank Patania. The center coral is a deep, dark Mediterranean coral at its best. A sterling chain link charm bracelet with 9 charms from the 1960s. This 7-1/4" bracelet measures 3/16" across the flat oval links which are connected by small twist links. It has a springring clasp which is marked AIRFLEX on the loop and STERLING on the springring. These are not rhodium plated unlike the chain and may not be original to this bracelet...
This pin was orginally designed by Mexico artist Frederick Davis in the 1930's. This piece is signed MEXICO SILVER but without the FD mark. Architectural modernist sterling horse head earrings by Paul Lobel(1899-1983), c.1950's. These earrings show a stylized horse head with applied silver wire forming a dimensional profile. The fob is an 1897 English silver thruppence - threepenny or three pence silver coin. This sterling silver pendant has an arts and crafts feel. It features a central polished turquoise marbled with matrix that appears to be quite stable. It has an angular starburst design with a wide bail that bears a 925 mark as well as Hebrew markings. The .835 silver chain is not original to the piece, but is of the period. It is probably Austrian or Polish and measures 18 inches long unclasped. The pendant measures 1 ½ inches by 1 1/8 inches. Gross weight of pendant: 7.1 grams
A beautiful demi-parure consisting of a matching necklace and bracelet in gold washed silver with very big faceted opaline glass stones, prong set, and bezel set in the center of the necklace. Marked SILVER. Circa 1900 - 1920. Possibly French. A very unusual design, and I have never had opaline stones this big before. They have fabulous pink and blue tones which are not completely captured in the photos.
The necklace is 16 1/2 inches long and 3/4 inch wide...
