Calling the vintage Mexican silver and black stone "mask" ring I am presenting here massive is not an exaggeration. It is not just the actual ring size (9.5 US) that makes it so; it is also the textured, solid setting, quite masculine in design, and the beautifully carved, stupendous effigy it houses. I am not sure what the stone is - I think it might be onyx but it could also be black agate. I am fascinated by its opaque gravity and the way its satin finish invites the touch...

Being offered is a circa 1967 .970 silver (better than sterling) necklace by Antonio Pineda of Taxco, Mexico, comprising geometric heavy gauge links creating levels of silver with onyx cabochons; tongue & box clasp. Dimensions wearable 16 1/4”. Links are 1 inch wide. Marked. In excellent condition.

This style brooch was advertised in the "Brecken Book" of Jewelry in 1947. It is 1 5/8" x 1 3/8" . It is in excellent condition.

Formed as an arch with a central drop set with what could be polished obsidian. The stone has embedded diagonal bands of light brown, with an iridescent surface. There is a tiny chip to one edge; it is hardly noticeable and doesn’t affect the stability of the stone, which is quite secure. The back of the pendant is marked 925 on the bail, drop and arch; the arch also shows a London import mark, maker’s initials of ED, and the date letter for 1973...

Handmade sterling silver keychain or watch fob designed (1940's) and signed by Taxco, Mexico artist Hector Aguilar (1905-1986). Belt slide is 1 1/2" X 1". Sterling chain is 17" long. 1.7 oz., 48 grams. Sterling key holder opens and closes perfectly. No dents or dings. Applied initials can be easily removed. Magnificent, rare vintage sterling and coral circular shaped petit point ring by Zuni Edith Tsatbetsaye , circa 1970. Many silversmiths created petit point pieces, but this silversmith took the art to an extreme. This ring is set with semicircular high domed and arched stones, this cut being her trademark. The ring is a size 7 and measures 1 1/8" by 1 1/8". Weighing 12 grams, it is in fine original condition. There are no missing stones and no chips or cracks to any stone. Signed as shown...

This beautiful floral, brooch is a fine depiction of the Dogwood. It measures 2 1/4" x 1". It is marked STERLING HSB with a line through the HSB, which is the maker's mark of the silversmith Harry S. Brick: Harry S. Brick and Son., New York, NY. It is in excellent condition.

Bracelet measures 7 1/4" long and almost 5/8" across. Has a snap in clasp that holds securely. Earrings measure 1" long and 5/8" at the widest. Clips hold tightly. Very nice condition, minor surface scratches. Nicely textured along the edges. Nice weight, quality set. Great mid century modernist design.

Very much in the style associated with Matilde Poulat and often referred to as "Mexico City repousse" this sweet little silver "serpent scales" bracelet is adorned with an amethyst cabochon in its central station. An early example of this "school", it is an honest attempt to emulate the "grand dame" of Mexican silver jewelry albeit in a more demure, smaller scale than most of Matl's work...

This is a beautifully executed, thick silver bracelet that is 1in. wide on the side panels. The piece weighs 29.7 grams and has an airy cut out design and features an amethyst cabachon. It is slightly sizable and fits a 6.5in. to a 7in. the best. Marked Silver Mexico which dates the piece to pre-1948. This example of early Taxco silver work is a classic and displays an aura of elegance to those who gaze upon it.
