A sterling silver hand wrought brooch by the mid century modernist studio jeweler, Ruth Berridge, (1921-2004).

Has nine cascading dangles with balls at each end for a multidimensional effect. Measures about 1 3/4" across and 1" high.

Signed © Berridge, Hand Made and Sterling on the back. Rollover clasp holds securely. Fine condition with minor surface scratches and a some tarnish.

This is a magnificent Antonio Pineda bracelet which I've never seen before and believe to be very rare. Likely dating to the 1950's, this bracelet showcases three natural untreated blue star sapphire stones. The center stone is approx 5 ct. Each stone sits in a star setting. Very unique, and certainly a statement piece. You can see the star It's a huge bracelet, with a weight of 155.2 grams. Closed, wearable length is 6 1/4". With is 1 1/2"...

One rarely sees work produced by La Joya. La Joya designs are unique and original, the craftsmanship superb. This necklace dates to pre-1948. It's a definite statement piece, adorned with 7 amethyst cabochons. The largest of them measures 7/8" x 7/16", and sits on the center "ribbon". Centerpiece measures just under 5 1/2" across. This bracelet is unmarked, but tests as silver, probably .800. It is a very high quality early marcasite and silver piece, set with amethysts and dated conservatively from the 1930s. All marcasites are intact and the faceted amethysts show no wear or damage. The bracelet has a secure tongue and groove clasp; the silver safety chain is also very secure, with an unusual S-hook closure. The bracelet measures 8 1/4 inches long by a little over 1/2 inch wide. This ring is inlaid with Azur-malachite stone. It is a size 8. The stone inlay is very colorful and stands out nicely in its 1/4" sterling silver band. It is marked TAXCO MEXICO 925 (slightly rubbed out) in a circle with LMH in the center. It also has the assay mark with 3 inside and is in excellent condition.

William Spratling's Mexican Silver locket which is 2in. long including the loop for a chain, 1.25 in. deep and 1in. across is featured in todays listing. The stones have striations front and back as most from this era of the Mexican Silver Renaissance do. This example is much better than most found. You can see that some rise to the top but the stones are stable and none go all the way thru or across the amethyst stone. The color is dark and beautiful...

This signed Matilde Poulat necklace lays beautifully and is a statement maker at 1.5in. tall and approximately 18in. wearable length. The quality workmanship is further demonstrated with a weight 122 grams. Hallmarked with pre 1960 patent and registration. One would be surprised to see that this necklace is fantastic with jeans and a white blouse. All Matl lovers should include this in their collection, just LOOK AT THAT NECKLACE!

This fine pin, with its deep, dark yellow, palmate leaves is by Norwegian silversmith Bernard Meldah. It is sterling vermeil with basse-taille enamel and measures 1 3/4” x 1 3/4”. It has a C-catch and is marked “925 S STERLING” “MB” (superimposed, Meldah’s maker’s mark) and “MADE IN NORWAY.” This piece is in excellent condition.

This rare vintage sterling silver and sodalite necklace and earrings was designed and signed c. 1950's by Taxco, Mexico modernist designer Antonio Pineda (1919-2009). Early sterling bolo with Mayan design on a brown leather braided thong with the fabulous cactus-design ends, Mexico, c.1942. Superbly crafted, profusely decorated and visually powerful this early Mexico City repousse figural brooch is an a rather rare example of vermeil silver jewelry from the country's 20th c. Bold and striking long sterling earrings designed by Karl Gustav Hansen for Hans Hansen of Denmark. These earrings are from the "Future" line of jewelry manufactured by Hans Hansen between 1932 and 1948. They hang 2 5/8" long, are 3/4" wide at the bottoms and are screw backs. The backs could easily be changed to posts for pierced ears.Weighing 11 grams total, they are in fine original condition and signed as shown. A fabulous Modernist design that look great on the ear.

A mid century modernist pendant by the American studio jeweler, Paul Miller. This piece is constructed of 2 layers of contrasting oxidized and polished sterling with a curved wire overlay. One end of the wire ends in a silver 'pearl', the other end becomes the bale.

A rare hand wrought bracelet by Madeline Turner, a New York City Jeweler who worked from the 1930's to the 1950's. She designed jewelry for Georg Jensen USA. In sterling silver with periwinkle blue art glass cabochons. Marked with her conjoined M Turner hallmark. Measures about 6 1/4" around and about 1" wide. Clasp snaps closed tightly. This early Antonio Pineda bracelet is quite rare and all out spectacular. His "Silver By Tono" hallmark dates 1948-1953. Eight teardrop amethyst cabs in almost pure silver panels which alternate up and down, each separated by four silver balls. Pin closure. Weight is 98.9 grams. Measures 8" end to end, width 1 1/4". Closed, wearable length is 6 3/4". Signed and hallmarked "Silver By Tono Mexico". In excellent vintage condition.

This fabulous vintage Mexican Bracelet has a stunning design similar to the work of Antonio Pineda - it's signed with the initials AP but they differ from the more common Pineda hallmark and we're not sure who the artist is. It's a massive piece measuring 7" long, 1" wide and is quite heavy at 115.5 grams. Early style pin closure. No damage noted, just some light wear and tarnish and the Amethyst stones have the typical inclusions. A fantastic bracelet that any collector will love.

Matl Matilde Poulat opened her shop in 1931.(Pack Davis) She with her nephew Salas produced folk art jewels that are sought after today. This signed example is studded with turquoise and clear, faceted amethyst squares. The silver work shows itself as an excellent example that is 7 in. long and 1.75in. tall. The weight is heavy at 63 grams as a bracelet with open air filigree. Collectors will not be disappointing with this bracelet.

A pair of modernist pendants in 830 silver designed by Jorma Laine for Kultateollisuus Ky of Turku Finland. May be purchased together or individually.

The larger pendant, made up of interconnected circles with a curved in central disk, measures 2 3/4" long including the bale and 1 5/8" wide. Looks like a stylized cross. Pendant is marked 830S for the Finnish silver standard, and Finland.

This Hector Aguilar 1950's Vintage Mexican Amethyst Jelly Stoned Bracelet is a true gem. Dimensions entail: A 2.5 inch inside diameter, 1.5 inches tall, 1.5 inch gap length, and a 57 gram weight.

My second M Velazquez silver brooch for the day, this Mexican Deco repousse "portrait" I have never had (nor, I believe, seen) before. As opposed to the first figural pin, here the "sitter" is shown in profile, his likeness set in a raised frame against a stippled background. Velazquez's repoussage can be very dramatic and in the piece at hand it is also enhanced by deep chasing and oxidation which brings out the sculpturality of the face and the impressive headdress. The brooch measures 2 1/8"...

This Norma sterling jelly belly grandma duck is 1 7/8" x 1.75" . It is hallmarked sterling,Norma and pat pend. It appears that Peninno worked for Norma. Lucite jelly bellies were copied from figurals originally done in gold and rock crystal.
