One of a number of Whistler lithographs I am offering: "Firelight: Joseph Pennell No. 1", 1896, sheet approximately measuring 11 3/4" by 8 1/4", currently in a mat, lightly taped at top edge to backing, not laid down, unframed. Generally clean, with some imperfections along edges (particularly a half-moon shaped area missing from right side, about 1 1/2" by 3/8" wide on average, see images). Stamped on reverse is "Library of London/De-Accessioned"...

Nineteenth century lithograph print issued by Sarony Major & Knapp, lithographers, 449 Broadway, New York, after a painting by Stanley. The print measures 6" by 9" inside the mat and 10 3/4" by 14" in gold frame.

Large folio size print, sheet measuring 18 1/4" by 24 1/2" inside the mat, 27 1/4" by 33 1/2" as framed, titled at bottom. This image was produced by Currier in 1868, but I believe this example to be a high quality hand colored RESTRIKE of a later date. It's a great image, with grandparents in their snug Victorian 1860's New England interior, a roaring fire and their granddaughter indicating the other seasons of life. A large print of the steam and sail ship "La Touraine", the sheet approximately 25" by 36", total dimensions of frame 34 1/2" by 45 1/2". This is a highly decorative item for the nautical and marine art collector. The artist who created the painting on which the print was based was American FRED PANSING (1844-1916). His original art is expensive and scarce, but many prints were made after the paintings. Pansing was born in Germany and was in New York City by 1865, a sailor...

This is a puzzling piece; a print in colors, appears to be a lithograph, not an offset, measuring 13 1/4" by 9 1/8" inside the present mat (21 1/4" by 25 1/4" as framed). It is signed "Picasso" in the plate at lower right in the image and dated below that 21-6-20. I don't believe this is from the period, nor do I believe it is listed in a catalogue raisonne; rather, it appears to be some kind of later reproduction perhaps after a drawing or painting...
