Extra large format limited edition Japanese woodblock print depicting a flower lined deserted lane beside traditional buildings under a cloudy blue sky by Katsuyuki Nishijima (b. 1945) dated 1987. This is an original pencil-signed artist's proof (marked A.P. in the lower left margin) for an image that was likely produced in a limited edition of 100. The pencil-title appears to translate "Empty Sky" or "Deserted Day." Paper size 24 1/4" x 18 1/4" (image: 15 3/8" x 21 1/4"). Full margins...

The dimensions of this photogravure differ somewhat from those of the original mezzotint and the names of the characters portrayed are engraved in the margin of this later version. Japanese limited edition copperplate etching titled “Kyoto #7: Kozan-ji” by Tanaka Ryohei (1933-2019). Pencil-signed, dated '96, and numbered 141/150 in the lower margin. The title in kanji is at the bottom left margin. Paper: 11 5/8" x 10 1/4" (image: 6 3/8" x 8"). Very good overall condition with a possible faintly visible smudge in the upper left margin corner. There are a few distressed fibers on the back, but the print does not appear to have been previously framed.

A winter scene print by noted watercolorist and illustrator, Howard Watson. Watson was the "Artist in Residence" at the White House during the Carter Administration.There are tiny thumbtack punctures at the very end corners of the print(not impacting the print and not visible). Professionally framed, the print measures approximately 23" x 20" (probably larger but not measured out of frame). The frame itself is 28-1/2" x 25".
