Lovely big statement flower form brooch hand made by Pono Italy in very finely made art plastic "moonglow" mother of pearl Lucite with variegated color in very pale blue with a glass bead and stitching in the center, and a leather back. A charmer! This whimsical bug looks like he has a sense of humor. American designer Rick Shelley created him in pewter and colorful glass beads. The wings move slightly and look like mother of pearl. He is a large bug measuring 5" from front to back, 3 1/2" side to side and is approximately 2" high.

This round brooch with a heart cutout is called Hidden Heart. It is no 991 and is 18k gold. Designed by Vivianna Torun, on the back are printed 750, Georg Jensen in a circle of dots, Torun, 991, and Denmark.

Fabulous 1980s brooch by Butler & Wilson depicting Jazz Age icon Josephine Baker in silvertone metal with rhinestones in clear, black, red, green, and blue. Marked B&W. Her "skirt" is loose strands of rhinestones. 4 1/4 inches long and 3 1/4 inches wide. Excellent condition. All stones are bright and better than the pictures. Photos enlarged to show detail.

With its delicately colored ice blue rhinestones, this Dorothy Bauer pin is elegant. The large navette stones are all prong set and surrounded by tiny rhinestones of varying subtle colors designed to highlight the beauty of the large stones. The base is circular so that will stand alone for display when not being worn. Very chunky and three dimensional. 2 1/4" by 2".

A whimsical and colorful sterling silver pin is formed as a bird with a sharp, upturned beak and fan-like tail. The enameled areas are well defined and retain their polished surface. The rollover clasp is very secure and the pin is marked Peru and sterling on the back. It measures approximately 1 7/8 inches across by 1 1/4 inches high. Weight: 10 grams

Another Georg Jensen classic piece, this brooch, no 20, has a diameter of 1.75in (4.5cm). Bought in 1983, the brooch is in excellent condition. Truly a classic.

A vintage 14Kt yellow gold wreath brooch/pin by Eckfeldt and Ackley. Size: 1.25 in. diameter. Weight: 5.6 grams.

This grape design is sometimes called Moonlight Grapes. An early Georg Jensen design (1920s), it was updated slightly in 2010, including giving individual grapes more heft. There are three especially large ones at the top of the bunch. Designed by Harald Nielsen, it measures 1.5in wide x 2.75in long (4cm x 7cm). I bought it in 2000 and it’s in excellent condition, almost never worn.

Here is a well-made and nicely conceived silver pin by an unknown studio jeweler. The triangular base is impressed with a geometric pattern enhanced by oxidized surfaces of various metallic shades. A convex silver disk is mounted on the panel at a jaunty angle for contrast. The pin has a commercial rollover clasp in good working order. The back bears no mark except for a K in a triangle, most likely a maker's mark. It measures just under 2 inches wide by 1 1/2 inches high by 1/4 inch deep...
