Vintage, rare Karl Lagerfeld necklace. 20 cast matte gold metal & resin vegetables, with a couple of pearl pea pods, are attached to a matte gold link necklace with a toggle closing. The necklace is 19 1/2" (50 cm)long, not including the toggle or the logo tag. The green peppers are 1 1/4" (3.6 cm) x 1" (3 cm); the pea pods are 2 1/4" (6 cm) long. Five strands of clear crystal beads hold multi strands of cascading multi color beads. Joined at the back, they spill forth with brilliant flashes of color. The front of the necklace falls 10 1/2" (27cm). It's difficult to measure a width, but on the necklace form it measures 7" (18cm) across. The biggest beads are 3/8'" (1.1cm) in diameter. The back of the necklace is adjustable. It has the GA, Giorgio Armani couture logo. Probably from around 1990, it is in pristine condition.

Extremely rare "Peas in a Pod" Karl Lagerfeld necklace. Four poured green glass peas fill each of the eight beautifully articulated gold metal pea pods. Curly strings make the necklace even better. 21" (54 cm) long x about 1/2" (1.3 cm) wide, it closes with a toggle and has a square logo the reads KL on one side and Karl Lagerfeld on the other. it is in pristine condition. Transparent, opalescent graduated lucite beads are strung on knotted red silk cord and have cast matte gold caps on either end of the larger beads. 43" (109.4 cm) long, the center front bead is a little over 1 1/4" (3.4 cm) in diameter. Lovely signed Chanel clip earrings from season 25, with faux baroque pearl cabochons set in textured goldtone metal frames. Marked on an oval plate, CHANEL, with copyright and trademark symbols, also marked with the double C Chanel logo, numbers 2 and 5 on either side of the double C, and MADE IN FRANCE. Erika Hult de Corral, the award-winning modernist Taxco designer who studied in the Parson’s School of Design in Paris and worked with Sigi Pineda and Enrique Ledesma, is one of the few exceptions for which I will cross the 1980 terminus in my jewelry selection. de Corral came into her own in the 1960s and 1970s, a bit later than most of the Taxco maestros, and her creative streak took her well into the 1980s...

It seems that I will be closing the year with modernist pieces by Erika Hult de Corral. I have already presented two of her necklaces in the last few weeks which have already found new caretakers and this evening it is time for a ring. Though rings are not an uncommon form in the world of vintage Mexican silver jewelry, I have to admit that the examples available usually fall on the conservative side of design but from time to time something interesting and eye-catching shows up...

Using an elegant mix of materials, Stanley Hagler created masterpieces in jewelry. His pieces are always ornate and intricate, and this set is an example of Hagler's beautiful work. It was created in the 1980's. The necklace, end to end, is 17" with a 2 1/2" extension. The body of the pendant is 3 3/4" wide and 3" high. Each piece of the fringe is 3 3/4" long. Dramatic in size and design, this silver pendant features elaborate wire wrapping, with 5 gemstones entwined in the design. It measures just under 4" high, 2 3/8" wide, and is heavy. Tests for sterling, but we did not test the gold colored wire, so it may be gold filled, though the thin wire is more likely gold. The stones include a clear quartz crystal, a watermelon tourmaline, a striated pale green crystal, a pale blue/lavender stone, and a small clear stone. No hallmarks. Please see all...

Vintage Karl Lagerfeld hinged cuff cast with buttons and flowers. 2 3/8" (6 cm wide), the interior diameter is 2" (5.1 cm) x 2 1/2" (6.2 cm). It has a push clasp that is tight. From the early 1980's, it is in excellent vintage condition.

This early Valentino Garavani necklace has a single strand of irregular black glass beads. They are 5/8" (1.5 cm) in diameter and are hand knotted. Including the clasp, the necklace is 17 1/4" (44 cm) long. The center tassel hangs from a pave gold metal ring that holds a black enamel ring that holds the pave and black enamel top. These Yves Saint Laurent red poured glass gold tone earrings are 3 1/8" (8.2cm) long. The red cabochon poured glass hearts are surrounded by a gilt frame and are 1 1/2" (4.1cm) wide. The earrings are signed on both the clip backs and on the back of the bottom hearts.
