Simply amazing six inch shoulder sweeping clip earrings circa 1980 or 1990, probably French. Amber color prong set poured glass cabochons surmount three tiered drops of wired glass beads and rhinestone rondelles, all held in silvertone metal. The glass beads are opaque smooth and clear faceted, in fabulous contrasting colors of amber, pale blue, citrine yellow, peach pink, and marbled cream. Vintage YSL black lucite bead necklace. Three strand of round, black beads hold a large, center asymmetric black lucite piece in a gold color metal frame. Difficult to measure, but the shortest strand including the chain and hook (but not the logo at the tip) measures 18 1/2" (47 cm). The center piece measures 2 3/4" (7.4 cm) wide x 2 5/8" (7 cm) long. Stunning signed Iradj Moini necklace with dark reddish purple melon carved graduated genuine ruby beads, and a genuine dark blue sapphire bead, and a carved reeded green genuine beryl bead on the other side. Very dramatic 1980s goldtone metal mounted wood necklace with a large detailed dimensional head of a leopard, hanging from a heavy double strand of dark red silk cord. Marked DOMINIQUE AURIENTIS PARIS. The leopard head element is based on 16th century Benin bronze leopard head masks which were worn as waist or hip ornaments. The leopard was a symbol of royal power in Benin and was also depicted in statues, full size masks, and other objects...

Robert Sorrell has only created seven of these necklaces, each hand made by him and each slightly different from the other. He calls this his "scarf". Aptly named since, like a cloth scarf, it is versatile and can be worn in a variety of ways--both ends in front, both ends in back, one in front and one over the shoulder, etc. Rhinestones are of the finest quality crystal and the craftsmanship is exquisite!
