Outstanding life-colored German Dresden candy container in the form of a football. This is a terrifically detailed piece with the texture of pigskin, laces, seams, etc. Some of the raised seams have some losses, but otherwise, this piece is in nice condition. One side also has initials painted on it--probably those of the lucky child who first found this hanging on the Christmas tree. Approximately 3" long. Circa 1930s.
A delightful German Christmas candy container in the shape of a lemon. The container is made from composition then painted and finished with a coat of wax to add a realistic soft sheen. The interior of the pull-out base is marked "Germany."

Great hard plastic "Easter Express" candy container/toy. Unmarked, but made by Rosbro. This is a great example of how the company made parts interchangeable so they could create new items by joining together a seemingly endless selection of rabbits, ducks, roosters, chicks, etc. Circa 1950. Excellent condition, there is a crack on the underside by the axle that appears to have happened at the factory, since it is completely secure and shows no signs of regluing. 8" long, 7-1/4" tall.
Terrific vintage Christmas ornament fashioned from a papier-mache bell turned into a house. A cotton batting Santa Claus with a composition face is attached to the side. Unmarked, but most likely Japanese. Circa 1930. Very good condition, a little of the paint missing from the hanger and some wear to the "feather" trees. 3-1/2" high.
Very funny Halloween postcard featuring a cow scaring his milkmaid by wearing jack o'lanterns on his horns. The front is marked "Copyright 1909 by Julius Bien & Co., N.Y." Heavily embossed and very nice colors. Postmarked 1910.

A terrific and very rare lithographed tin chocolate box, the lid decorated with "The Wheel of Fund and Frolic" Halloween game. The spinner points to various party tasks such as "Push a pickle across the floor with your nose" or "Sing a mammy song in black-face". Some of the tasks, like "Turn out the lights and have each girl kiss the boy nearest her" sound like a little more fun! The side of the tin is marked "Mrs. Sothern Home Made Sweets". Ca. 1930...

This Matchless star Christmas light has clear glass prisms and a red glass gem. The base is bakelite and the bulb is C-6. These star lights were manufactured by the Matchless Electic Co. of Chicago, circa 1930. This light is 2 inches in diameter and in working condition. Condition: excellent.
