Increasingly more and more difficult to find, this pot metal pencil sharpener was made in pre-WWII Germany in the 1930's.

Measuring 1.5 inches long x 1 inch wide, this sharpener depicts a derogatory caricature of a Black Man. The glaring eyes are painted a stark white with teeny black pupils, while the red painted lips surround the pencil sharpener blade which takes the place of the man's teeth. Curly molded hair and eyebrows are painted black, while the face is painted brown- inside and out...

Measuring 6 inches high, this darling, mint condition, Black Memorabilia, pudgy, Boy Child Nodder was made in 1950’s Japan by the Ardalt China Company. Dressed up as a little clown, his arms are bent upright at his sides as if he were in the middle of a trick! Such a darling piece!

The child’s head nods up and down in a "yes" motion by pivoting on a tiny metal bar inserted through his neck (see photos)...

A contemporary Russian or Greek Orthodox icon hand painted in oil on a wood panel, 11 1/8" by 8 1/8", bearing on the reverse a modern label "Certificate" stating it to be a copy of an old style original, title "Virgin Marey" (sic), from "Borchkovo Xuti", and a printed internet address showing the origin to be Bulgaria and the artist name as Vassil Vassilev. Nicely made piece, I am presuming here that this is for some kind of incense, there is a hole at the side of the head where you would put your incense and smoke would then come out of the eyes... There are a couple of chops to the paint on the base, please see photos

Offered are two, circa 1930's, Made in Japan, ceramic bisque, African-American, baby dolls. A very sweet pair, these dolls measure a diminutive 2.5 and 3.5 inches long. The larger doll is marked "Made in Japan", while the smaller is simply marked "JAPAN".

Both dolls retain their 3 original pigtails, all tied off with tiny pieces of string...
