A large gin bari cloisonne button depicting three snowy egrets against a background with shades of green, the whole with a silver surround and backing. When viewed from the side, the button has an intentionally undulating shape, making it highly unusual. The side is hallmarked and there appear to be other markings. Rare Boti or vegetables cutter, like any good kitchen utensil this has a multipurpose function, as it can be used as a coconut scraper on the end of the hand forged blade. This one is circa late 19th century from Tamil Nadu. The end of the cutter has been made into the shape of a bird with “floral” patterns carved into t5he wood. This colorful vintage ceramic cocker spaniel will keep the libations flowing as a dog head-form cover of a combination bottle pourer and stopper. The head is hand painted sienna brown outlined with black markings, porcelain pourer, cork is near perfect, circa 1940. Measurements- 4 1/8" high. Very good condition with minor flaking on one ear.
