This is a really pretty 8 3/4 inch diameter Blue Ridge Nova Rose Shell Shaped Candy Dish made by Southern Potteries. The Candy Dish is in really good condition with no chips or cracks. A work of studio pottery, found in Southern California, the color a rich earthy brown, the vessel pierced intentionally by the artist to create naturalistic openings, similar to the distinctive style of Peter Voulkos (1924-2002). The piece measures 7 1/2" high by 5" diameter. The piece is signed on the bottom "Balvin 79". Surprisingly I do not see a studio potter by this name, but the artist was obviously talented and also familiar with Voulkos' acclaimed work.

These "Liberty Blue" cup and saucer sets are 2 5/8". They have a blue and white floral rim . The scene in the saucer is that of the Old North Church. The scene on the cup is that of the Paul Revere riding through town. They are in excellent condition.

Hand thrown porcelain vase by Eugene (Gene) Francis Bunker (USA, born in Montana in 1928). Signed. Bunker was resident director at the Archie Bray Foundation, and Art Department head at UNC Asheville. His works can be found at the Mills College Art Museum, Prieto collection (he studied with Prieto); at the Portland Art Museum, etc.

DESCRIPTION: A lovely set of five red clay Mexican earthenware nesting bowls, dating from the 1950's. The bowls are decorated in fluid strokes of blue between blue line borders on a white/cream ground. The interiors have a line of blue around the inner circumference with dollops of green glaze. Very good condition, no chips, original imperfections that add to the charm. DIMENSIONS: Largest bowl: 10.25 diameter x 4.75” high. Smallest bowl: 5.5” diameter x 2” high.
