Himmelstoss, a fine modeler who worked at Rosenthal. These adorable little guys look like they are kissing. They are well modeled and hand painted. Artisans at Rosenthal created animal figures with character and personality as you can see. Condition: Excellent first quality.

Basket weave rectangular cache-pot/flower pot and interior liner by Waechtersbach. Decoration of green dots and a printed flower border in late Art Nouveau or Jugendstil style, also running over the handles of the pot. The liner left undecorated. Impressed shield mark and printed blue mark "Wächtersbach" and a black printed mark, possibly a year mark for 1923, December. Width including handles "7¼/ 18,5 cm, height "2¼/ 5,5 cm. Condition: a hairline visible from the inside of one handle.

Melusina or Melusine is a heroine in medieval European folklore. This figurine is a modernist version of her transformation into an often two-tailed mermaid or fish. Unglazed stoneware and gilt hairstyle. Little is known about Y-Keramik other than the workshop was situated in former Western Germany and that the gilding was made of 24 karat gold, this information available on paper labels on other Y-Keramik figures from the 1970's.
