This porcelain figurine was produced in Germany by Rosenthal in the 1950s. It has the artist’s signature, Fritz Heidenreich, impressed into the base. The bird measures 9 5/8 inches high and is 9 1/2 inches long. The bird is modeled with his beautiful tail feathers extended in their natural splendor. The colors are brilliant. This is beautiful piece that can be used as a candlestick holder or a small vase. It has a lovely Scandinavian, flowing design. Made of sterling silver, it stands 5 1/8" tall. Its base has a diameter of 3". It weighs 3 ounces. The base is marked with a whale hallmark and marked DENMARK. I have left it unpolished. It is truly beautiful and in excellent condition.
